This is my favorite dim sum place in Penang. I always take family and friends here as the food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

Old Chinese always said that, they need "yam Cha" for a good day strat. this is a good place for Chinese breakfast. Dim Sum is not quite good looking (compare with Hong Kong and Canada) but taste is very good. It must be order a pot of Chinese tea and eat fresh dim sum. what a great morning! btw, shop... More

Always think of Tai Tong when dim sum is in mind, only drawback is the lack of parking spaces along that street. Fresh, delicious and affordable at the heart of town.

Good for breakfast or evening visit. Have varieties of food to choose from and price is very reasonable. Can be busy at times, need to pick your timing well. Excellent place for walk around after the meal.

We visited this place because of the good reviews, but the dim sum was mediocre at best. The shrimp inside dumplings wasn't fresh, and the dumpling wrappers were too soft from sitting too long in the steamer. The steamed buns were fine.

This place was full of locals and rightly so. Extensive menu proposing many classic Chinese and Nyonya dishes. The assam shrimps were delicious. They also have a dim sum cart that this old lady pushes around the different tables, just choose which ones you want and she adds them to your tab. Same thing for the desert. It is a... More

We initially had wanted to try this restaurant's Dim Sum but were too late and had to settle for their other authentic cuisine instead. It proved a very able substitute but we swore we'd try their famed Dim Sum. The next day we returned at 9am but the place was absolutely packed with a huge mixture of people enjoying their... More

This is an institution in the Chinatown part of UNESCO Georgetown. It is between Kimberley St with many roadside hawkers and Carnavon St with many old local shops. No reservation is taken. You have to wait around for next table. The floor is rather littered so don't wear your best shoes or designer outfits. Be as casual as you can... More

We just had our dinner at this friendly place. All the servers were grandma or grandpa or uncles or aunties..:-) and they were very friendly and nice. They recommended us delicious dishes and dumplings. We ordered a vegetable sauté and crabs soup. And we picked lots of dim-sums up from the dim-sums cart. All the dishes equally very very delicious.... More

Great dim sum. Tasty Chee Cheong Fan, salted fish bao (hum yu bao), chicken feet, lo mai gai and many more.. enjoyed our first meal in Penang after touch down. Went there because of trip advisor, didn't disappoint!
