This is an unpretentious bistrot in the heart of the Heritage area of Georgetown, next to 3 beautifully renovated shophouses converted in homestay that also belong to the couple who own and run the restaurant as well as a small art gallery.. It starts with the very good and popular breakfast in the morning and stays open for lunch and... More

it is wide open doors with a simple and nice deco. they serve really good fusion food at reasonable prices. the staff are attentive and provide good service. they have specialty for the day and the portioning and price is worth every penny.

We were actually looking for another restaurant (open only for dinner) when we stumbled on this shop house cafe and had lunch. What a great little place. The cafe is open to the street -- in this case narrow and atmospheric Stewart Lane -- and did not have a lot of tables, but the staff was friendly and helpful and... More

The 55 Cafe is in the Coffee Atellier Hotel where we stayed. Some nights, after a long day out, we would go here for dinner. It was always very good and we always were very satisfied with our orders. A great restaurant in a wonderful hotel.

Coffee shop that also has apartments to rent. Good coffee and very friendly staff, and great collection of plants outside at the entrance. Decor was great - and courtyard at the back with old roasters still in situ - definitely worth a visit. Small gallery above for added interest.

We dropped in for lunch at 55 because the Seven Terraces restaurant was closed for lunch, not fair but our expectations weren't high. Doing a mental gear shift from fancy restaurant to cafe, I was delighted with everything - the setting, service and quality of the food. Furthermore, ask the staff if you may take your coffee (really really good... More

I stumbled upon this place while looking for another Cafe which ended up being closed. I was hungry so I just gave up looking and headed in. Initially I was after something quick and cheap but I decided to get a Penne Bolognese, Vitamin Explosion shake (Banana, Pineapple, Papaya and Lime) and they were both incredible. For dessert they offer... More

What can I say to encourage patron's to this delightful and unique café. There was a group of us and I must say that the chef's food was exceptional. I absolutely loved everything about our evening out. I will definitely revisit this venue again. Well done.

Stopped in on a whim as the cafe I was heading to was closed and really enjoyed my sandwich (smoked salmon). Friendly staff and a very quiet atmosphere and a little more traditional than some of the more modern cafes in the area.

Visited the cafe on 15 Nov 2016 in the hopes of getting their cute 3D latte art on my latte. However, I was disappointed as the server told me they don't do 3D latte art anymore due to a change in management. I ordered their Kim Guan white coffee instead and it was amazing. If you like thick and strong... More
