A visit to Kuantan wouldn’t be complete without trying the locals’ favorite satay – Satay Zul. From what I observed, Satay Zul’s popularity is immense, as the restaurant was full in ten minutes just after it was open.

Apart from satay, the restaurant serves nasi lemak as well. The foods are good but a lot of time the satay are still raw inside.

I can say the fired rice is good, special the kampong fired rice, a lot of ikan bilis inside. Disappointed on satay , the meat of satay cut too big and chicken like frozen chicken, this must improve, because satay is one of famous food in Malaysia, but it standard is not meet, need to improve ,dun think this can... Satay is so much better than many places in KL. Meat is so tender. And no fats in between the meats. Sauce is yummy and the most important service is good. Highly recommended.

Went about 715 pm on Friday evening. No crowd yet. Ordered about 20 piece of chicken satay , beef satay and mutton satay. Beef and chicken is good but mutton (Kambing) satay is too tough for us. The rice (Ketupat) is good texture. Best is the satay sauce ! Ordered 3 glasses of hot teh Tarik with less sugar .... More

We went there during our visit to kuantan last march. Satay not so amazing. Served fast but all cold already. Maybe has grilled early before. For me you can have that kind of taste everywhere. Not so special.

The satay is really good. The peanut sauce is delicious too. The line waiting for the table is crazy. Will visit the eatery again and will be early this time.

This place is famous for its satay, and others have plenty of reviews on them, meaty and juicy, and not fatty. Not to be missed are also other food on their menu, their fried rice and nasi lemak are also great, but staying at a low price. Plus, do not miss out on beef tripe satay, definitely not widely found.

Fast service. The satay are well marinated and grilled, succulent and tender meat (no fat in between the meat on the skewers) served with delicious peanut sauce and the usual condiments. You can also indulge in Nasi Lemak & Mee Curry should you opt to not having satay while you were there.

They have 2 outlets in town. One at Jalan Teluk Sisek and the other one at Malay Town.Always crowded especially the former.Very tasty especially their peanut sauce. Each Satay stick has got a good quantity of meat on it.Review from a Kuantan resident.
