Having visited Morocco and loved the food I was keen to try the Argan Trees. The family owners were very friendly and had wonderful photography books that they shared, full of pictures so I could remember my trip to Morocco. I ordered the beef with Prune Tagine and this was “melt in your mouth” delicious. It came with warm bread to soak up the sauce. This meal was even better than what I had in Morocco.
They do not serve alcohol but have plenty of juices plus the traditional mint tea. The menu also has other non Moroccan options but seriously, you are crazy if you miss a Moroccan tagine so full of flavour. Have a meal and go to a bar afterwards if you must have alcohol. The restaurant was not busy, although I was there early and it is very reasonably priced.
I did try to convince them to move to Melbourne Australia (where I live) as I would love to eat here all the time.

We discovered the restaurant on our first day in Langkawi, and the fact that we (a family of Moroccan origin) visited the restaurant every single day in our stay since then speaks volumes for the quality of the food and friendly service.
With a relaxing, friendly and welcoming atmosphere the restaurant offers tasty authentic Moroccan food to the vegan, vegetarian and meatloving person.
The service is excellent. The owner runs the restaurant with his small family. Being from Morocco and living in Langkawi, this family knows exactly how to provide a down to earth, yet excellent service.

The food was excellent with a great variety of choices. We stuck to Moroccan but there was also the standard international choices of pizza and pasta, the quality of which is unknown. Friendly service throughout with the only complaint being the service being slow and haphazard. Our dirty plates were not removed despite 4 waiters regularly walking past our table empty handed. The juices took ages to he delivered. Note: there is no alcohol served at the venue. All in all, highly recommended if you’re not in a hurry,

The Argan Trees Restaurant is the best restaurant in Langkawi, owned and run by a lovely family from Morocco who prepare all the food with love. They offer Moroccan & Mediterranean cuisine and the food tastes like real homemade. In addition, this amazing restaurant makes you have a memorable experience since you get to experience true Moroccan Hospitality. You can dine while wearing a Moroccan ‘Tarboush’ hat and even take a photoshoot with several traditional Moroccan clothes. Guests can also read many books about Morocco while waiting for their food. I recommend the best seller dish ‘Meat with Barkok Tagine’ which is absolutely delicious. Furthermore, they have numerous unique foods and products for sale from Morocco. Last but not least, the service is outstanding and all the family and staff are very friendly. Thank you for everything & see you again soon!

A mixed bag really. We were expecting great things from the reviews and it started well with the mixed starter which was excellent. However the bread was disappointing, we expected some sort of traditional flatbread but instead got what looked like shop bought bread rolls.
Main courses were also variable. My meatball tagine was well over done, actually black around the edges. By the time it finished sizzling it was virtually dry. One of our party had the Saffa Surprise after some rave reviews on here. It was actually just some very bland couscous, we all tried it and felt the same. Someone did suddenly present us with some sauce but we’d nearly finished by then. The fish tagine however was excellent, very tasty indeed.
After our mains plates were taken we were looking forward to trying the tea mentioned several times in these reviews and may be some fruit or dessert. However, after being totally ignored by the waiter for a full 20 minutes, we gave up, paid the bill and left.
Really not what we expected from all the good reviews on here.

That was my first time trying Moroccan cuisine and it was fantastic!!! It’s absolutely not spicy (unlike most Asian cuisine), very understandable for Europeans (without chicken feet or weird taste combinations), presenting was impressive (mesmerizing way of pouring tea into a glass from height, sizzling tagine). Staff was very hospitable, they seem to love what they’re doing.

Best experience at this family run Moroccan restaurant. Authentic Moroccan cuisine (being of Moroccan decent myself) we thoroughly enjoyed it three days in a row. Tasty food and most welcoming service. They serve food for every taste, for the meat lovers, for the vegetarian and for the vegan.

It’s impossible not to fall in love with this restaurant. It’s run by a lovely family, who will make you feel you’re at home. They were super attentive and kind, sharing their culture and love for Morocco. It was my birthday and they surprised us with a delicious cake with my name on it, singing happy birthday in their native language. It was very moving. I felt at home. And about the food, it was our first time trying Moroccan food, so when we didn’t know what to order. And they took the time to go through the menu with us and give us recommendations. Every single thing we tried was delicious. The quality, presentation, taste, and smell were just beautiful.
The mix appetizers give you a little taste of everything, great way to begin a meal. Then the barkok meat tagine was amazing, sweet and salty and so good! The saffa surprise felt like I tried for the first time a new kind of food, something completely different from every other thing I tried in my life. It was delicious. And the Moroccan tea was amazing, being poured right at your table. It was a show on its own.
After the meal, they asked us if we wanted to dress in traditional clothes and take pictures. They were super kind, taking many pictures and, again, making us feel right at home.
I cannot express in words how lucky I felt having my birthday dinner in this place. It was truly moving. The Argan Trees is more than a restaurant. It’s an experience. Two thumbs up!

A walking distance from our hotel, we had an incredible dinner at the Argan. We had ordered their original Moroccan dish which I believe was called "Couscous" I m not sure of the name, but the dish was incredible. The taste of each bite was making us more and more fall in love with this Moroccan dish. The presentation of the dish was excellent. The way the dish was opened like some magic show about to happen. I believe it is a family run restaurant and the staff was incredibly helpful and courteous and ever smiling. They even gave us the Moroccan caps to wear during our meal as a part of their tradition (I believe)

I ate here twice during my recent trip to Langkawi: once alone with my partner, and the second time as one of a group of 22 (including 10 kids) on New Year's Eve (early sitting). It is rare to come across, not only a restaurant that serves amazing, authentic food in a country that is not their own, but to have such excellent service and a laid back, attentive atmosphere created by the staff meant it was an absolute pleasure to eat here. Highly recommended - I will most certainly be back, as will all of my friends, the next time we visit the island. Thank you so much.

It was my first time to be in a Moroccan restaurant but the experience there really impressed me. I love the way the host came and presented their food with connected activities to entertain the guests, like gave us a chance to try on their traditional dress and magazines introduced about their homeland. We did have a very good memory there and highly recommend to anyone has plan to check for some new food in an Asia island :)

The place is just amazing. Every single thing is worth the 5 stars:
⭐️ The most authentic and delicious Moroccan food you’ll try outside of Morocco. We tried different things, all of them were delicious. Anything you try will be amazing, just ask for recommendations if you cannot decide. It’s worth every ringgit.
⭐️ The kindest of the services, the people there have the hospitality of Moroccans, which makes the place very special. I felt like part of the family. Make sure you’re also kind to them, they deserve it.
⭐️ The outstanding ambiance, with the theme of the blue city. Every detail in there is worth appreciating, from the designs of the windows, to the cups they serve the tea in. The chairs, the cutlery, the colours, the music.. it’s like if you’re transporting somewhere else.
Highly recommended, as you can see in the overall rate here, as well as other platforms.
Very grateful for the wonderful time we spent there.

Thanks to all the staff for making my wife's 50th birthday so special. From getting us dressed up like traditional morrocons and the fantastic food served there. You can tell when eat there the staff are very proud of there tradition and engage you to be as if you were in Morocco me my wife and two teenagers and are 6 year old.would TOTALY RECOMMEND this restaurant to all

Beware small portions. Mixed starter would be better described as a selection of dips. Seafood tagine would be better described as a starter. The bread was good but I could have stayed at home eating bread rolls, would have been much cheaper. Toilets are not great. Few of the reviews here have same photos and very staged close up photos making the meals look much larger than they are, I am suspicious about the authenticity of some of these based on my experience of visitng.

We were there on a Sunday evening for an early dinner. We asked the owner of the restaurant, who was a lovely and friendly man to recommend us a few dishes which he delightfully did. The Moroccan tea was very tasty. The appetiser which was a mixed platter and Our mains- a chicken and vegetable tagine and also prawn tagine was absolutely delicious. The breads were fresh and hot. I would definitely recommend this place for an amazing meal in Langkawi. It’s as authentic as it gets outside of Morocco!
