We had fun and enjoyed the atmosphere the food was very good and the staff helpful and friendly , they are proud of their establishment and produce very good japanise food. We tried the hot pod, the Gyoza and rice balls with salmon&sake. Each dish was freshly cooked and tasted excellent.

We were lucky to get seats at the bar in this busy Japanese "pub". We chose a variety of dishes from the English menu, deep fried cheese, fried chicken and stuffed pancakes amongst others. Staff speak limited English, but we managed to eat well, drink well and had lots of fun watching people coming and going and the food being... More

We stayed around the corner at the Dormy Inn and wanted somewhere close to eat as we were starving. We had four courses between the two of us on recommendations from the waiter and they were all delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Only issue was a couple of locals sitting up from us were smoking which wasn't great but, it... More

Drawn by the reviews on tripadvisor we had dinner at this place. Dinner was OK, nowadays they have a partial translatation of the menu in english. We werd advised by locals to try the hinepon (local special chicken breast) which was our best choice. 4 mains and 2 sake set us back for 3500 yen, which we considered a fair... More

This place opens at 5pm and gets crowded quickly, so go early. There is English menu but there may be stuffs on the English menu that are not available. Sit by the counter and get totally absorbed into the Japanese lifestyle - old Japanese pop songs on the radio, customers drinking and chatting, and food that is absolutely delicious. The... More

Very nice food. They have a printed menu translated in good English! The hot pots are excellent. Fried chicken and egg plant dish are also very good. Very friendly staff that makes you feel very confortable (even when you are a woman going in alone and not speaking one word of Japanese). Packed with locals very good casual atmosphere.

We lived at Dormy Inn and when we searched TÁ to find good restaurant options - we found Gassei - it happened to be just around the corner 😀 The restaurant was filled with local people and a good atmosphere... They have an english menu, which make things a little easier. The food was good and tasty and the staff... More

Love their straw seats and decoration. The menu was worth spending to look at because it was just so 'Japanese feel'. The food was nice. A lot of reservation was made. I'm lucky we visited the shop just when they start operation at 5pm.

A busy, tight, hot place with delicious food. We were sat on the second floor which was lively but so very hot and a little smoky. We both had hot pots which were delicious. The tempura lotus root and sea eel where also delicious.
