Since I was in Utsunomiya, the city of gyoza, I had decided to have gyoza on the day I stayed in Utsunomiya. Among the many Utsunomiya gyoza restaurants, one of the most famous is Minmin. We were staying at a business hotel near JR Utsunomiya Station, so we decided to go to the "Utsunomiya minminmin 45 Hotel Met's Store", which was right there. I was wondering if there was a queue because it was so popular, but I entered without waiting. There were six dumplings each for one person. I had "grilled," "fried" and "boiled" dumplings for one person each. It goes perfectly with draft beer, of course! The dumplings seemed to have a high percentage of vegetables and were light and kept going. It was delicious.

I was recommended this place as also being recommended and generally quite popular. We've arrived around 19:45. The store was full and line of about 15 people in front. At 20:00 was last order time, so staff asked everyone for their orders, including drinks. We've waited for about 15 minutes, before we were seated. They make boiled gyōza, fried and normal one (焼). Beer and some other alcohol is served here as well too. Toilets are not on the premises, but on the same floor. The equipment and general design is modern and clean. Staff is good as well. Prices are quite cheap, decent i'd say

We tried 4 different Gyoza restaurant when we travel to Utsunomiya in Feb. 2018, my wife and I all agree Minmin is the most delicious Gyoza restaurant. You may need to in waiting list when you visit Minmin due to business is really good, but it's worth.

The only reason this place is popular it’s because it’s one of the most decently price gyoza shop in town. The crispy ones are well fried but with very little filling. That why you can eat lots of them. Give each place a try and you can decide which is the best in town. Have fun

Good gyoza and much easier to access if you're at the JR station. Gyoza is good, (and quite inexpensive). To my mind, the fried gyoza was better than the steamed version, but both were good (and you can get a combo to see if I'm right). If you want Utsunomiya gyoza and are there on a hot day when you don't feel like making a 1k trek to the main Minmin store, this is a very good choice

Good basic gyoza meal. What else can I say? Gyoza, look it up on wiki. It is just a basic Chinese dumpling made Japanese style. Order with rice and a draft beer.

We were in a group of 6 people and ordered 3 sets of 12 grilled and 6 boiled gyoza. It was enough as were "medium hungry". There are two salons (one in front of the other) the one we went had a table for 6 people.

Waiting 30 minutes to get in, but worth the wait. fresh and simple. If you are a Gyoza fan this place is highly recommended. Cheap to boot!
