A local told me about this place when I went there for work. It's located right next to Kofu Station, so it's very accessible.
I was excited to try my first houtou, and they brought it to me piping hot in a single pot.
The chewy houtou and the miso-based soup with vegetables and mushrooms are just the perfect example of local cuisine, with a simple flavor that is irresistible.
The texture is like udon, but the slightly different chewy texture is addictive.
It's close to the station and looks like a popular izakaya, but it's actually a restaurant where you can eat authentic local houtou. If you go to Kofu, you'll have no choice but to stop by.

Torimotsu, a chicken inner dish seasoned by soya and sugar is popular and awarded top rank in 'B class gourmet' contest in Japan. Class B means a daily humble dish still delicious. A line of visitors is seen on weekends.

Good for Houtou noodle & simmered chicken organ.
I didn’t know their soba noodle is much popular than Houtou which is well cooked together with pumpkin in hot pot and very popular noodle in Yamanashi. So, they have only one choice of Houtou but very tasty.
Simmered chicken organ is no doubt tasty.
Truly recommend to try!
