This has all the hallmarks of a high class restaurant at very reasonable prices. They have avoided the trap of an overly extensive menu, making each dish special. But there is still the right balance of fish and meat starters and mains, and all dishes have traditional Vietnamese flavours but presented in a contemporary way. The duck two ways was... More

Visited 17 April 2017 Had Pork Belly, was scrumptious. Wife had seared tuna, also raved about it. Service good, setting clean and clinical. Prices reasonable. Worth a try.

We went for lunch and enjoyed the food so much that we went back the next day for dinner too. The restaurant is at the end of a refurbishment and was not quite finished, however this did not detract at all from our dining experience. The food really was fantastic and I would definitely recommend the Creme Caramel if you... More

We stumbled across the Red Dragon by accident, out of the centre of Hoi An, but just round the corner from our homestay. The food is an exceptional blend of Vietnamese and international cuisine and by far the best we've tasted on our 1.5 week travels from South of Vietnam. I had "Duck two ways": confit de canard and duck... More

Could not have been happier to see that Red Dragon has reopened with a brand spanking new kitchen and dining areas that complement the amazing food this great chef prepares daily. The prices are beyond reasonable given the quality of the cuisine that is served here daily and my guests loved every dish that we ordered. The seared tuna wrapped... More

This food was simply amazing! The place was empty when we were there but after tasting the food and experiencing the service we could not believe why. Location probably isn't on their side but everything else was outstanding. The duck, pork belly, chicken curry and pork sandwich was to die for. The price was extremely reasonable for something of this... More

We ate at Red Dragon a year ago and it featured good food in a not so great setting. Two nights ago six of us returned for the opening night of the new Red Dragon and it was honestly spectacular. The setting is now very attractive but the food steals the show... it is inventive, delicious and is like true... More

In our brief time in Hoi An, we'd been generally disappointed with the food on offer, even one of Hoi An's celebrated "street food" eatery's (which I won't name), left us less than inspired. Clearly the universe conspired, the planets aligned, etc etc as the Red Dragon restaurant reopened after a seven month hiatus for renovations just last night. What... More

This place was amazing. When we arrived it was empty which in such a busy town was a little bit of a surprise. We decided based on its reviews to eat there anyway and l am so glad we did! The service was impeccable, the cocktails actual cocktails and to our delight it was yuuuuuum. It was easily the BEST... More

Currently closed for renovations so we were unfortunately not able to visit. Looks like there is still a lot of work to complete before it will be able to reopen. Ended up going to another restaurant close by.
