Description
I don't know the exact address of this very nice no-frills restaurant right next to the hammam (bath) on the main street suggested by our hotel manager. Don't be put off by the simple, brightly-lit cafe atmosphere. Go in and walk to the back where the day's dishes can be inspected. The night we went in there was beef stew, lamb shanks in bechamel, meatballs in a tomatoey sauce as well as rice, spinach, beans and eggplant dishes. You select the combination you would like and it is brought to your table. We tried just about everything and it was all good - especially the lamb and the eggplant. They officially don't serve alcohol, but when we enquired about wine they produced a decent red sold by the glass. All in all, a great Turkish dining experience.
