Visited Parlak on TA reviews positive feèdback. It is a simple restaurant off the main drag. Good simple Turkish food, served efficiently. Not a great ambience. We enjoyed our meal, we did not go for the chicken, but had excellent lamb. Only downside, they overcharge for the wine!

Although located in the absolute city center, a little bit difficult to find since locate din a court yard next to a small alley. Almost no tourists. Traditional Turkish cuisine. A must or the chicken on the spit, turned by hand

Seasonal produce, well-made. Yes, the service isn't the liveliest but these waiters are true professionals. They will advise you on which foods to choose and they are attentive without being pushy.

We visited Parlak on the recommendation for the special roast chicken. This was very good, alongside the "chicken crock on tile". The aubergine salad was okay, nothing special. However appalling service to get anything. Staff providing no attention and quite rude. That said, overall still decent prices for good food.

My husband and I have been travelling in Turkey for 10 days now and have developed a taste for traditional Turkish cuisine and a preference for style and price similar to our BYO restaurants we find in Australia. We chose Parlak Restaurant on the recommendation of our Lonely Planet guide and Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. This Restaurant... More

I found this restaurant after a recomendation by one of the staff at my guest house. I was a little bit dubious thinking the owner is probably the uncle of the staff member. On arrival, I really liked the setting, a tented courtyard filled with tables set to the standard of a good restaurant. Many chickens where being spit roasted... More

Tasty and good food. Big garden where you can watch the chicken be cooked on the huge coal barbeque. Reasonable price, ok service

I love chicken cooked over coals, so when someone told me about Parlak, I had to give it a try. When I walked in, I saw 8 or 10 little birds on a spit over the coals and wasted no time ordering. The menu has many other choices on it, but I was there for one thing. The chicken special... More
