Delicious, Fresh, Unique, Serene!

Pleasant walk from my accomodation at Tamarind Guesthouse. Crossing the bridge just before sunset makes some beautiful photos then you will be at the restaurant in time to enjoy the sunset. It was well lit when I walked back after dark. I had a very warm welcome and pleasantly personalised experience. The owner was there to make sure every guest at the restaurant was going to get food cooked to their own preferred spiciness. An interesting menu, the food I chose was the pomelo salad (my favourite), the special red curry and the blue rice. A couple of ice cold beers washed it all down nicely. The food is very fresh and much of it is grown organically in the restaurant’s garden. The owner explained how to eat it the Thai way. I think nearly all dishes were 135 Baht each. Good value.

Apple and Noi’s - best in Thailand!

Apple and Noi’s is by far the best food we have tasted in Thailand and the menu is varied and offers much more than the ‘usual’ stuff that tourists have come to expect. Portions are generous and the attention to detail and presentation of all dishes is incredible. You must try the Miang Khum - it’s so delicious and fun to make your own flavour combinations. Noi’s Massaman curry is the best I have ever tasted and they offer cooking classes so you can learn to cook it too. They also sell various paste and sauces for you to take home to try and recreate the dishes at home. We have visited many times over the last 12 years and it never disappoints!

Still dreaming about this place!

We visited Blue Rice this time last year...and we are still dreaming of this place. We still remember how divine the food was and how the owners explained to us every detail of the food and also gave us tips on how is best to eat the food :) Everything was perfect - the chicken satay, the green curry and the massamam curry. The ambience was so pretty. We really wish to go back... it's a pity if this restaurant has closed due to covid-19 :( Truly a dream!!

Great food, lovely river view

My partner and I both really enjoyed the food here, authentic Thai with a personal twist. Both dishes were well-balanced and contain some homegrown ingredients, all cooked to taste. The owner made sure we had a good time. Highly recommend this place, well worth getting yourself off the high street and having dinner at Blue Rice, you won't regret it.

Delicious blue rice

I was travelling two weeks in Thailand and this is the best food I had .. the red curry with a literally blue rice was exceptional. The service was the best .. most polite , professional and the the view.. stunning. Just a perfect restaurant . Definitely worth a visit .. I’m planning my visit back . Beautiful.

Great meal and cooking school

Came for dinner and was so good we had to come back to the cooking school to learn how to try and recreate at home. Noi was such a great host for both occasions, couldn't recommend more. Try the Massaman Curry and the papaya tubes (pictured).

Today I was there with my parents and family friend. In restaurant was aroud 15 people. We waited 5 minutes before anybody came. After order it took them allmost 1hour before we got our dishes. Mostly without taste or dry. Only nodles were fine. Blue rice they didnt have so I cant rewiew. View and seats were nice. PS: Our friend live in Thailand over 22 years and by him it was worst food he ever has.

This place might be closed down.

We searched for it and couldn’t find it. Possibly it has closed due to the virus and low season. We did this with google maps and were led to different locations close together and with a number of confusing signs.

What a nice restaurant. I would say the best in Kanchanaburi! Delicious thai food! Our guest lady Noi was very kind and helpful! I would recommend everybody who visit the Erewan falls to make a stop at this restaurant! Keep up the good work Apple and Noi! Khop khoen khrap

Greasy and tasteless

We had vegetable tempura and pad see ew. Both were super greasy and tasted bland. The cockroaches were less of a problem to me, those are a general thing on the thai street cuisine. Two stars because the woman is very kind!

I really recommend this restaurant if you visit Kanchanaburi and you would like to try thai food you must visit. Good organic food, clean and delicious very very reasonable price, friendly owner I felt really welcome there will take my mum there next time.

Some of the best Thai food we’ve had

Some of the best Thai food we’ve had on our trip around Thailand. Ever so friendly family restaurant, freshly cooked. Menu has not been altered for Westeners, but you can choose how spicy you want your dish. Highly recommend their signature Massaman curry and Tom Kha. Well worth crossing the river Kwai in case you’re staying in central Kanchanaburi. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Super good and super Noi

Lovely setting, freshly cooked food

Very welcoming owner, who speaks very good English, explained all the dishes are freshly cooked and asks for some patience while waiting for food to arrive. There is actually only a 15 min wait between the starters and main course. Food was amazing (emphasise on fresh and organic) and the white wine (by the glass, one option only) is surprisingly palatable. Highly recommended
