Had a lovely, relaxed lunch with a good health drink and a pizza in the sun. Can really recommend this place if you are in Arusha.

Great expats restaurant with a lovely garden. Tasty salads and pizzas. Healthy energy juices. Excellent service. Ideal to get a break from Tanzanian food. Forgot: their gelato was delicious. Not cheap but still affordable for 'northern' wallets.

and/or kids. Big outdoor space with playground equipment. Shaded areas. Great food. Cool bar. Food could use some flavor enhancing (lemon, salt) but quite good nonetheless.charming owner/hostess. Best gift shop ever!!!

Very pleasant atmosphere, well off the main road. Charming garden seating area, childrens playground and covered eating areas. Friendly wait staff, tempting menu, wonderful tasting pizza. Enjoyed the gift shop as well.

I ate there and it was a nice place. Comfortable, very busy though. Their pizza oven was broken and were not serving pizzas (they were repairing the area) but I had a Shish Taouk / Chicken plate.

Blue Heron is *the* expat family restaurant/place to sit, drink tea, check your Internet, read a book or take an afternoon nap on the large, comfy sofas. Set in a lovely garden, surrounded by majestic trees, in the formerly colonial residential area of Arusha, there's a playground for kids, a juice bar, a pizza oven, and a menu on which... More

We loved this place - it really is worth a lunch or dinner here. We had gone for lunch and had sat outside in the garden area. They also have shade sitting and area for children to play. The food was a great variety of choices, was served promptly and we were well looked after throughout. Worth a visit.

Loved the atmosphere here and the food. I had spinach ravioli with cashew sauce. Sounds bad but it was divine! One of my favorite meals in East Africa. Loved the shop as well. Very nice quality goods.
