I love this place! Slice of Life serves excellent New York style pizza with some of the best views of Busan. Friendly and helpful staff 😊

It is probably the most over rated place ever on Tripadvisor. As previously mentioned in the reviews the service is the worst & they don’t have any cutleries such as knife/fork with pizza. The pizza is nothing special just regular & we ordered the craft...beer which is like the keg hasn’t been changed for ages. WORST PLACE TO GO IN GWANGANMore

Their pizza is really good, but Ive had back to back negative experiences with their service. They got an order wrong for a drink, and when asked to change it, the staff just refused to change it. Now I can accept that, but I had...said the name of the drink 3 times during the order and the staff was extremely rude when saying no, like it was my fault that they had gotten the order wrong. The time before, there was a coupon some friends won to eat here, and as soon as we tried to use it, the staff at the till became much less friendly. These may be isolated incidents but honestly you would get better service at a convenience store or a burger king.More

Their pizza is the best in Korea, Seoul included! The owner and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. If you ask them for a vegan pizza (no cheese), they will make you a wonderful version topped with so many veggies and even roasted garlic! The...interior looks quite gothic and plays really good music. They also have a big selection of beer. This place is perfect for groups to catch up. They also have a gorgeous view of the Diamond Bridge!More

My second visit and just as awesome. Atmosphere is warm and lively even on a quiet afternoon. The beer selection suited both my husband and I. The pizza was fantastic as always and buying by the slice is the best!

Really great pizza and wings. Service was top notch and view of the bridge was great. We were able to watch the light show from the restaurant.

First let me state that I'm from New York and New York has the best pizza bar none. No where else in the world can you get a slice like a New York slice. I'm not saying other places don't produce good pizza, Italy for...example does, it's just different. The Italian immigrants who came to New York during the great wave perfected their craft and today there is nothing like a New York Slice With that said, pizza in Korea is weird, they're not really sure what they're doing and throw on all sorts of strange toppings, things that don't belong on a pizza, but Slice of Life knows what they're doing. They have about 10 pies to chose from and they are the types you'd find in New York, also they import their ingredients from different countries. The pizza was fantastic and the closest thing to New York slice I've had outside of New York. Go and try it, you won't regret. My only regret is that I can't order their pizza through mail. The only downside to the restaurant was the service, the service was awful and our table remained dirty with the previous guests stuff for at least 15 minutes after sitting. My friends had to go up multiple times to remind them for their beers and then took forever to get. They also don't have enough ovens for the size of the place. We were a group of 9 and all of our pizzas came out at different times so that one pair was finished eating and another was just getting theirs. We did go during Chuseok, so maybe they were stretched thin with staff and ingredients (we only had a choice of 4 of the pies). For this I won't penalize them because the pizza was amazing!! Best pizza in Korea hands down.More

As the title states, this place is straight out of New York City. You won't find any Korean pizza toppings here. The pizza is thin crust and delicious, and you can buy by the slice, half or whole pizza. They have a cute outdoor counter...and then several tables inside. Give it a try if you need a break from Korean food!More

I visited when this restaurant opened about six months ago, I was willing to give it a chance. We had a long wait for our pizzas, but when they arrived they were pretty good, so I forgave the service. I put it down to teething...troubles in a new place. However, I returned the other week, and the service was worse. We ended up waiting over an hour and twenty minutes for our pizzas, which was supposed to be grabbing a quick slice to go. The staff got mixed up and gave our pizzas to someone else, didn't realise their mistake, and finally had to cook a fresh batch of pizzas. This restaurant is filled with too many staff who don't know what they're doing; I will not be returning.More

Having lived in Busan for over a decade, and being the pizza lover that I am, you can not imagine how happy I am to have found SOL Pizza. Great New York style pizza wchich can be bought by the slice (and at a reasonable...price) The location in Daeyeon (behind Pukyong Nat. University) is small and a great place to grab a quick lunch. The new SOL Taphouse right across from Gwangan Beach is spacious with a good variety of beers and a better place to start a night out. Sadly, the view of the beach is quite limited though Also, they just added American style buffalo wings to their menu which tasted great, but were a little pricey and only at the taphouse in Gwangan.More

No one has ever accused me of understating my opinion. I am given to superlatives, metaphors and hyperbole. However, when I say this is the best pizza outside of NYC or Italy I'm not joking. This is the real deal. The pizza dough is crunchy...and chewy - not an easy feat to accomplish. The sauce is house-made and is not too sweet (a common problem with Korean pizza). They use the proper spices and at the right amounts. The toppings are fresh and authentic. The overall taste is fantastic. The atmosphere is pleasant and modern. It's our go-to place to get our pizza fix in Korea. It's an easy walk from the subway station. Take line #2 (the green line in Busan) to the Kyungsung/Pukyong University station, go out exit 1 and walk to the first right, take that almost to the end and SOL is on the left. You have to look for it because it's on the small side. We've been there with a group of nine and fit comfortably but we did feel like we took over the place. You can get good craft beer to go with your pizza however, the selection is not extensive. Slice of Life has two locations. We understand that the location at Gwangali has more selection, but we have not been to that one. The phone number for this location is 051-626-4278. Their hours are 12:00PM-11:00PM. If you're in Busan - go!!More
