Another delicious meal at El Olive. I've read some negative reviews on this place and I can't really figure it out. Every time I've dined here, I've always had really efficient service and staff have always been really pleasant and courteous. Meals are served quickly...and I like that I'm not sitting around waiting for my meal to be served. I haven't had a bad experience here yet and believe their food is well prepared and of a high standard with very generous portion sizes.More

My husband and I have eaten at El Olive three times now, twice in the evening and once at lunchtime. It is easily our favourite restaurant in Busan so far. Not only does it cater for vegetarians (uncommon in this part of the world!), but...the range and quality of dishes is outstanding and well justifies the price. We have eaten from the a la carte menu each time we've visited, but the two set lunch menus also looked very attractive. Wine by the glass is available and is arguably the best I have tasted in any restaurant in Korea over the past 4 years. Decor, lighting and overall ambience are very pleasing and the staff polite, well trained and keen to be of service. It is also very enjoyable to visit a restaurant where we are allowed a reasonable length of time between courses. Booking is essential for dinner. We didn't book for Sunday lunch and managed to get a table, but it was busy, so might consider booking next time to be on the safe side. Highly recommended.More

We went last night with family , Monday , it was not to busy . We ordered 75 000 w menu . Pizza 29 000 w and vongole pasta . A glass of wine is 13 ooo w . We arrived at 7h35 . After...25 mn first dish from menu arrived 3 small sliced of scallops arrive with 1 spoon of carrot mash ! Then 20 more minutes later 5 pcs of pasta with 1 pc of clam"s arrived . At this time we where waiting for our pasta pizza . We asked the manager :how long we have to wait again ? Answer 25 mn . We are busy with 10 pers function on the other room . Unacceptable . The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We ordered the Mediterranean seven course meal which was excellent. With each course, the head waiter who knew English would explain what was being served. It was my best experience...in a Korean restaurant to date.More

I've been here whit a colleague of mine, just to try a pizza, or something looks like a pizza (I'm Italian). Must say I've been surprised, was looking good to see an tasty enough to be left satisfied.i will be here once again to try...pasta! Very nice place and professional people.More

I recently frequented El Olive for both lunch and dinner and found the food and service to be fantastic. It is great to have options like this when you live in Korea and want something a little different when eating out that is full of...flavour and has an authentic feel and taste to the meal. We live in Marine City about 35 - 40 minutes walk from El Olive which makes a nice riverside walk possible after enjoying our meal. My wife and I have been to El Olive on a number of occasions and really enjoy the food, ambiance...and the excellent service. The choice of food including the set menu's is good and their wines of the month offered at very reasonable prices for Busan. It is without doubt one of the best restaurants in our area.More

I don't have much to offer about their food, we have heard great things so I thought we should give it a try. We made a reservation for 8:45 (they close at 10pm) we arrived 15 minutes late and we were told that they were...closed, we had a long drawn out discussion with the 'manager' he spoke some english but was overall rude, disrespectful and couldn't even say sorry. Bottom line... make sure your on time and don't make a late reservation.More

We ate at El Olive 3 times during a recent 8 day stay in Busan. This is an excellent Italian restaurant, with outstanding mushroom risotto and several other dishes (the regular house salad is excellent and easily enough for 2 people), also excellent wine choices,...not cheap but not expensive compared to a few other similar places we tried or saw. Prices for pasta, pizza and risotto main dishes started at about 20,000 won and wines from about 55,000 won - MUCH better quality than at the Centrum Hotel for the same price. It is located maybe 8 minutes by taxi from the Bexco conference center heading away from the beach but near the river. For vegetarians it is one of the few real good options in Busan (Korean cuisine is definitely not vegetarian-friendly...). Several waiters spoke excellent English.
