My husband has been raving about this restaurant for years. It was my first experience. The ambiance, the wait staff (thank you, Jasleen!!) and the food surpassed my expectations. An American Classic restauarant at its best. Can’t wait for our next trip to Albany!

Stopped at this historic restaurant for a dinner the evening before a conference and it was worth the price! Interesting and diverse cocktail menu, oysters were small and sweet, tenderloin filet was perfection! The servers and host were very attentive and the atmosphere was very...More

The atmosphere is very nice, a bit on the pricy side, my average size caesar salad with crab cakes was almost $20 and that was just off of the lunch menu. The host was extremely nice, pretty good service.

Jack’s is a long time Albany spot frequented by many of the capital district’s local crowd especially state gov’t folks. Food is upscale and with it the price but it’s not crazy expensive and happy it’s there for the occasion embellishments

My wife and I ate dinner at Jacks Oyster House last week and were generally disappointed. The service was excellent. And the restaurant has an rich atmosphere. But the reason we go to a nice “fine dining” restaurant is for the food. And that is...More

Just attended a business meeting at Jack's. To a person, from the owner ensuring everything was satisfactory, the bartender or wait staff, everyone was concerned and professional about providing great service. The food was great too!

In early September, Albany seems like a ghost town with no people and almost everything closed after 18:00 so it was a relief to stumble on Jack's Oyster house - though almost nobody else seemed to have found it. It's an impressive and historic looking...More

On the street parking, and a parking garage in the rear. The attire runs the gambit from suits to business casual during the week. Its a nicer than average place so dress well but comfortable.

There are three or four entree salads and a pizza pomodoro on the menu. I do agree with the suggestion that you call and inquire. They are very accommodating.
