As usual the service is impeccable and the food very good wit excellent presentation. If you have not been there in a while, the interior is totally refreshed and the charm of the wobbly tables gone. Also gone is the extensive menu selection, I was...More

It may not be Michelin starred. But there is love in the food here. If you want a nice formal dining space to impress your lady/guy with amazing food this is the place to go. Located right in down town minutes walk from The Renaissance...More

I had an early dinner on a Friday night at Jacks. The service was attentive which is unusual when a restaurant is empty. The crabcakes were good but they had a little too much sauce on them. Broccoli and mashed potatoes were good as well....More

We were traveling thru area and stopped at Jack's, was looking forward to some good seafood, ordered the seafood tower, highly disappointed in what was served, everything was terrible, didn't bother to order anything else, would have been better to stay on highway and eat...More

The blue point oysters were amazing along with the all the appetizers. Our waiter was very attentive and made great suggestions throughout dinner. The decor is in need of some work, it seems to have been overlooked for many years now and is showing its...More

Doctor said no more shellfish. I was reluctant to go but was AMAZED by the selection of non shellfish items. Probably about half and 4 out of 8 in our party ordered meat items and everyone raved about their meals both fish and non fish....More

I hesitate to rate a local institution so poorly, but when a restaurant gets so complacent it serves spoiled raw items, it's time to close the doors. When we pointed out the spoiled clams on the seafood tower, the item was "discounted" on the bill....More

We have been to Jack's many times in the past while visiting Albany. We were there this past Sunday evening. Our server was pleasant, but was definitely overworked, as she was server, bartender, busser and even assisted with warming of the soup thus causing long...More

If you are ever having dinner in Albany and desire steakhouse deluxe, this is the place to eat. A long time haunt of the politically powerful, the food on the menu here is a meal to look forward to.

On the street parking, and a parking garage in the rear. The attire runs the gambit from suits to business casual during the week. Its a nicer than average place so dress well but comfortable.

There are three or four entree salads and a pizza pomodoro on the menu. I do agree with the suggestion that you call and inquire. They are very accommodating.
