Sometimes its too packed here for me but I still like this place a lot - just classic iconic spot, a known shawarma in the city

Shawarma and hummus at 1am... what could be better? Fresh peppers, pickled cabbage. All great and friendly guys and gal that was working here.

While perhaps not the very best shwarma in Israel (which is something of great debate) the food is cheap, excellent and delicious. I would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. We actually stayed for seconds after the first round was done.

The food is good Swarma for the uniniated is a gigantic Skewer of meat constantly revolving in front of burners , the meat is carved off on the spot for the orders, you can have it in a Pita, or Lafa(a larger kind of flat bread) or on a plate but thats too civilised to really enjoy ! add ,... This is one of the best shawarma places in Israel. It always was and still is. Yes, the service is not great (but the ordering process improved over the years). It's not the cleanest restaurant you can find. It's hectic, crowded and busy. But all this doesn't matter. All you need to do, is grab a pita or laffa with... More

I was born and lived in Ramat Gan for many years. SHEMESH was always the best place for Shawarma. Unfortunately on my last visit it looked like the Pitas became smaller and the portion was very small!!! I remember when you got a Pita with the shawarma, there was a nice load of meat in it!! What happened? The food... More

This is what shawarma is all about. Get it in a laffa with French fries (chips) inside. You won't be sorry. Except that you won't ever be able to tolerate shawarma anywhere else.
