I ate at about 20 restaurants in Israel (but none in Tel Aviv), and Tishreen in Nazareth was my favorite dining experience. The restaurant combines charming ambiance, outstanding food and service, and a very friendly and charming manager. The food is beautifully, sensitively prepared; and the servings are copious--plenty for sharing. Unlike the mediocre service in many other restaurants, the... More

Went there for a very late lunch and it was quite busy whilst other places were empty. Service was excellent, food was tasty and portions were large. The food is "arab nouvelle cuisine", no array of salad starters nor meat skewers though hummus, lamb chops and senya are in the menu.

Lovely interior of the restaurant which created an enjoyable atmosphere. Hummus was very tasty as well as the kofta and lamb wrapped in filo pastry. Enjoyed a bottle of Israeli red wine so it was a reasonable cost for 3 people at around £80 for 2 courses each plus the wine.

We went to Tishreen because we love arab food. What a wonderful dinner we had! Very nice service, the hummus fillet is unmissable and the hot bread is a must.

We came to this restaurant in the afternoon, on a day when a general strike by Israeli Arabs took place, and theretofore, for a change, the streets were relatively empty and we could even find a parking place not far from the restaurant, almost an impossible feat on any "normal" week day. We were a party of six, pretty hungry... More

Me and my family spent christmas eve in Nazareth and went to Tishreen for dinner. Our reserved table wasn't quite ready on time but once we got our table we had the most amazing dinner! Not only the food was excellent but also the service was very friendly, professional and attentive. As a little compensation for the waiting time we... More

Description
Named after the month it was opened in 2004 ( tishreen is Arabic for October) this sophisticated restaurant has an autumnal atmosphere with its straw-encrusted walls lined with antiques and wine bottles. Locals enjoying long lunches and late dinners order Mediterranean-inspired dishes from the mosaic-tiled wood oven which turns out 'aborigine (aubergine) stuffed with pesto and cheese' as well as excellent muhammar , an Arabic pizza topped with chicken and onion slices
