I've been living in Tel Aviv for two years and have eaten a lot of hummus and masabacha (hummus with tahini and chickpeas) Abu Hassan has by far the best masabacha/hummus in my opinion. It is fresh, delicious and cheap (18 shekels) could eat this every day of the week and if on a visit to Tel Aviv/Jaffa it is... More

You havn't had hummus until you've been to Abu Hassan. Excellent food and friendly staff. It is very popular so prepare to wait for a table but it shouldn't take to long and it is worth it!

This place was perfect. The hummus was some of the best I've ever had. The price was super cheap given what I received. And the service was jovial and kind. They quickly discovered I was American and were really kind. Plus it was perfectly comfortable to eat alone at this place. One of my best meals in Israel so far.

The numerous reviews and articles about this place are not wrong. This is easily the best hummus I had in Tel Aviv. Worth a trip for that in itself but also to experience a local eating environment. It's a true hole in the wall experience with a quick turnover of patrons so expect a very fast paced and frenetic eating... More

aparently this is THE famous place to get JUST hummus in TLV. the restaurant is an institution among locals, and it is hard to know what to order etc, if you don't go with a local. The service is very,.. hmm... unusual... things are basically thrown onto your table without much "service" at all, but it works well because it... More

Came here after locals' advice for the best hummus in town and it surely did deliver. Apart from the taste, the mediterranean/middle-eastern vibe is great with loud waiters, people sharing tables and high turnover.

The atmosphere is hectic and fun, people lining up, eating and splitting, the waiters are loud and fast, the food arrives within a handful of minutes at worst, and above all it's delicious.

Considering that this place is supposed to have the best HUMMUS in the country, we were all a little disappointed. Salads were...just okay. Hummus and ful..just okay. Service... 2/5...but friendly. There's lots of competition in the HUMMUS market, and this place does fall a little short... Imho

People make a bee-line to Abu Hassan for the best hummus in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. Better come early for lunch, because the place gets packed and it's hard to find a seat on the bench! But so worthwhile when you finally dig into a bowl of this freshly-made, undeniably tasty, hummus.
