A hidden secret view over the forest

You can walk into this place anytime in the afternoon and into the early evening and enjoy an inexpensive Thali, lunch overlooking one of the best views in Ubud. From the front it looks uninteresting and uninviting but taken upstairs onto the opposite side of the building and the world opens up into a stunning forest.Food is what would be expected from a company that also has restaurants in Seminyak, kuta Sanoa and Nusa doa

Tasty food, what a view

Service was great, asked if we wanted to sit upstairs without us knowing it was there, wow what a view - didn’t expect that. Informed when ordering that meals would be 20 minutes. Food arrived, Chicken tikka probably the best I’ve had, chicken samosas were great, fluffy inside crunchy outside, prawn masalah was tasty but prawns a bit small, rice well cooked, beer cold.

Super Indian cuisine

The folks from Michelin probably aren’t visiting anytime soon but what this restaurant does it does well. Good solid Indian cuisine, well cooked to order, tasty servings with naan breads that were lovely. One of the best Indian meals I’ve had for some time. They adjusted the spice level to my taste without fuss and did so accurately and without impacting the flavours. We sat on the upstairs terrace from where a view of the surrounding rain forest can be seen.

Total avoidable place. DO NOT STOP

We ordered simple tee, a juice and two dosa. Service was completely lost and not not knowing what they do. After 40minutes waiting and several times asking the juice came, another 5 minutes more two cold and too thick dosa came followed by some tee. Can’t say anything good about this place. Just try to avoid this soulless place and leave it. You’ll find any other option better than this. Waste

I don’t get the few negative reviews - food and service were truly excellent. Freshly cooked, you could tell it was home made and the servicing staff couldn’t do more for you

Great Dahl and service

I grabbed some dahl for takeaway as needed some comfort food on a 'cool' Ubud night - service quick and friendly - and food delicious. Had naan with it - and it was soft .- but with crispy bits just the way I like it. I am not a fan of spicy food - and the spice level was perfect (they asked). I will be heading back during my stay.

I reserve my 1 star ratings for moments when something happens that I really think is utterly wrong. When I left the restaurant after my meal, one of the staff was lying on my bike, both my mirrors were adjusted to her liking, my big lights were on when I switched the ignition on, both foot steps were out. Keep away from other peoples belongings, especially when you are in the hospitality business.

Unethical, best to avoid

I’ve been here several times, but after an incident tonight I have to recommend against. Ordered a glass of water, saying I did not want it if it meant opening a disposable plastic bottle. Management did so anyway and hid the bottle. The manager then told me if I did not pay for the whole bottle, they would punish the waitress financially. I told him if he did this, I would not come back to the restaurant again. At this point the manager became rude and argumentative, in front of the entire restaurant. Bottom line, if it matters to you who runs the restaurant you are eating at, this place is not for you.

Dear Sir. Thank you for your review. Here in Bali the tap water is not drinkable and all the water supplied in your hotel, villa and houses are also coming from big plastic gallons. Our manager or staff did not hide the bottle but as u only have asked for one glass so they served accordingly, which after you know then you have asked if can be paid only as per one glass... it was not possible as the bottle already been opened we will have to charge you full. We charge you be cause we also paid for it I guess is fair enough. Hope the government can start giving free drinking water so we can also give free water to our customers.

Too expensive for what you get

So disappointed. Food was okay but we are in Bali and prices were so high. Not worth the expense. Portions were so small and could get the same thing at the same price in Australia. Won't be rerurning

Location of restaurant is reight in front of camphun. Food is authenticate indian, most importantly is very affordable than places i. Central ubud. I really recommend this place . Seems like contributing by giving positive reviews.

We had dinner here one night...get a table upstairs with nice view of Campuhan Ridge. Good masala dosa and dal etc..tandoori roti ...very good service...good value..well done

Amazing food

This restaurant is amazing! A must have in Ubud. We ordered several different dishes and all of them were amazing. Unfortunately we didn’t get pictures of the food because we ate it too fast! Soo so good. We will definitely be back.

Very friendly staff and really scenic. The price of the food is very reasonable and could easily feed a family of 4 with less then £40. I have to say the service was very friendly and attentive to your needs and request. Food taste was good and lots of choice.
