Having a meal in an open air pavilion within a spacious garden with a view of rice fields, being served delicious food by friendly waiters, is really a very nice experience. The restaurant consists of several open air pavilions, and on certain evenings there are dance performances. The crispy duck which seems to be their signature dish is good, also... More

We read the reviews on the internet and wanted to try out. We reserved a spot on the Saturday evening, when the Frog dance is performed. We got picked up from the Ubud city center, got an amazing dinner (the Crispy duck - really good!) and then enjoyed the Frog dance. The service was very friendly, the food was good,... More

Once you realize that in typical Balinese cuisine, meat is normally cooked well-done and adjust expectations accordingly, most disappointments in food preparation can be avoided. I expected a crispy duck (not a succulent, juicy duck) and that's exactly what I got. Crispy like American potato chips, but not tough and chewy like jerky. Three types of sambal from mild to... We liked the restaurant layout - we were seated out near the rice fields which is the place to be. The restaurant is big enough that the arriving bus load of tourists did not detract from our experience. The food was reasonably priced. It was my first Balinese crispy duck and was just too crispy for me - no juicy... More

For setting, this place has it all. The choice of different seating and even an authentic show thrown in if you want. However, having already seen a barong show, we weren't too fussed to sit through another. On to the food and, maybe this review would have been higher if I hadn't gone out of my comfort zone as much.... More

We dinned here twice during our week in Ubud and whilst the meals were ok they were far from the best we have had so far. Each time the service from staff was very good, so no complaints there. On the second visit there was a Balinese dancing performance which was an enjoyable experience making it a pleasant evening. The... More

Restaurant behind the Monkey Forest Sanctuary. TIP FOR SHORTCUT : if you go by walking or scooter, you can take a path next to the main entrance of the sanctuary, you will save a lot of time/distance. The food is good (I had the veggie Thai curry) and not so expensive (55K rp) taking into account that you get a... More
