Saturday around 2.10 PM first I came with my sister, I was greeted with a smile by the bar boy, he really cares about us and told us to use hand sanitizer before and after leaving the restaurant ... feel disappointed because lobster roll is not available and the bar boy say sorry about food is not available, this restaurant is very concerned with the current virus conditions and the staff is also very concerned with the situation of this virus. thank fire station, thank bar boy with smile

My house guests visited yesterday for dinner. They were very impressed with the precautions the Firestation has done in keeping the customers safe during this Corona time. This Sanur must visit place serves fantastic quality food, a very interesting selection of beers and the cocktails are truly special. Espresso martinis to die for. You will not be disappointed. The standard is very high at great prices.

I love The Fire Station! It is the best place in Sanur and had friendly staff, it is well run and the food is great. I really love the Calamari which is as tender as you will ever find. If you say "I don't like Calamari because it is chewy", try it at The Fire Station and you will be converted. And in the evening, FireFly upstairs has great cocktails. I can't wait to go back.

A party a 10 (expats) went from Kerobokan to Sanur for Sunday roast... as it written on all posts best in Bali well I and we beg to differ. The meat was full of fat and sinue, veggies been sitting for hours and only carrot straws and peas, hard dry roast potatoes, gravy was a tinge of orange for 235,000 not worth it at all, service sub standard as well. If they want to keep a rating up need to lift their game substantially as couple of beautiful places doing tasty Sunday roasts cheaper more fresher & delicious. Won’t be going back.

Hi Susan, I am really sorry about your experience here in January - we were going through a transition with floor and kitchen staff at the time, but that is no excuse really. I'd like to personally make it up to you next time and make sure you get the best we have to offer and a round of drinks on us. We have recently improved our roast lunch and are now using prime Australian tenderloin for our beef option so would love to the chance to redeem ourselves. Again, apologies for your experience here.

Nice atmosphere and very western food falling more into the USA category if thats what youre looing for. Cocktails are great but pricey unless you are there for happy hour, food is expensive by Sanur standards and of an average to good quality. Prices too rich for us to dine there regularly.

Hi Sharon F, We make sure that every bottle that comes through our doors is real and not fake alcohol (which tastes horrible and can be very dangerous!). This means the cocktails cost a bit more but we believe its worth it!

I've been a longtime loyal customer of the Fire Station and have always been happy with its dishes and service. But since the management changed, something started to change. I went again on Saturday night and asked for some appetisers and its juicy signature dish "The Fire Station Burger". After a while the waitress came back saying that the burger was not available anymore. On a Saturday evening at 7 pm?! In the middle of dinnertime?! No way! It appears the management has really worsened and I will probably never go there anymore. What a pity...

Worst experience I’ve had in Bali on all my trips there. Booked for a birthday dinner after seeing the recommendations but was so disappointed. After taking out order we waited over an hour for the food to arrive. When it did my burger was so raw it still had horns and was mooing. My wife’s curry had clearly sat under a heat lamp for the full hour and was so dried up you could have thrown it like a frisbee. Staff had a “couldn’t care less” attitude. I was so angry that after eventually being offered a free drink and my wife’s meal for free I said no thanks I will pay for what I ordered and take the opportunity to rate your restaurant on trip adviser. My advice to you all - don’t bother with this over hyped place as there’s much better places in Sanur.

Hi H108NKstephenl. Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are so sorry about your experience here with us. Our burgers are usually of high quality and it's one of our signature dishes, so its surprising and disappointing to hear yours wasn't satisfactory. Sometimes we slip up and I'm personally sorry you didn't enjoy your birthday dinner with us. As you say, we tried to redeem ourselves on the night and would like the opportunity to try to do so again, please come by anytime for a drink on us or to collect the refund which was initially offered!

Great food. Great drinks. Great vibe. If you’re walking the more quiet streets of Sanur, stop for a few at The Fire Station. A delicious range of well made meals accompanied by an extensive drinks menu complete with cocktails, craft beer and wine. The sashimi is to die for and they make a mean frozen daiquiri to take the edge off those more humid days.

Thank you so much MessicaJurphy! Frozen daiquiris are an absolute must in this tropical heat - and no amount is every too many ;)

Feel like a meal? Want to make your tastebuds water? Then boy! Do I know the place to visit! Tucked away nicely in the bottom of Sanur is a Fire Station, and this is not your typical, empty hot shed, full of water hoses and red trucks, fire station....oh no! This is where you will go to get your tastebuds watering! The meals will provide you with a wonderful variety of food options, both for the meat lovers and veggie lovers. You can add a drink to your meal from the huge collection available. The Wine, Whiskey, Beers, Gin and Spirits from everywhere in the world. The service of the Fire Station Staff is red hot! Wonderful friendly people always with a smile on their face to make your experience worthwhile. I am sure if you give this restaurant/bar a visit you will not be disappointed! I recommend some of the spicy buffalo wings to add on the side of your meal or drink! It's a wonderful place! Check it out!

Sensational find whilst walking around Sanur. Great vibe and truly excellent food for the money. Had bar snacks on one stop on the New Years Day 2020 popped in for a main meal of lobster, steak and ribs.

The Fire Station is a restaurant in Sanur that leaves its mark once you have been. Its a bar and also a restaurant that has been one of the "go to" places in Sanur for many years. Decor resembles a pub with lots of old time celebrity photos on the walls in the dining area and lots of bar tables/stools out the front. Service is attentive although it can be hard to attract staff attention when the place is really humming! What sets The Fire Station apart from its contemporaries is the ability to purchase a reasonable variety of decent wines from around the world by the glass. And its not just 1-2 wines either...try about 7-8 whites, the same number of reds, all rounded out by a couple of rose and bubbles too! So if you're tired of Bintang, cocktails, or spirits...a decent wine is just around the corner waiting for you! And it doesn't hurt that the food is top notch either 🙂 We ventured in of a Sunday evening to sample a roast dinner...beef, lamb, pork, chicken is all available with spuds, veggies, yorkshire pud, roasted garlic, and gravy. Prices for this are ~AUD$10-20 depending on the meat selected. There is the usual selection of Indonesian dishes, pasta, burgers etc plus high quality steaks of various cuts & sizes, plus other western dishes such as shepherds pie. As described above, the food is great. Pricing is on the higher side but you'll walk away with a full belly, a big smile, and be glad that you visited. We normally visit at least once when we visit Bali. It is yet to dissapoint after many visits across many years. Highly recommended by us!

While we were aimlessly wandering around the southern end of Sanur, getting hungrier by the minute, I spotted The Fire Station's sign advertising their Sunday roast. It is just off the main street, Jl. Danau Tamblingan, on Jl. Danau Poso, the restaurant is set up like an English gastropub, the walls are covered in portraits of old and current 'A' list actors and the decor had a very New York bar type of feel. We arrived after 2pm, it opens at noon, so we went to order they had already sold out of the roast chicken, but they still had roast lamb, roast pork loin and beef wellingtons (though the beef wellingtons take over 30mins to prepare). We went with servings of the lamb and pork - IDR 199K and IDR 139K respectively, which came with roast potatoes, truffle cauliflower cheese, peas, Yorkshire pudding, roasted garlic, and gravy. The serves were generous and the meat perfectly cooked. They have a selection of local craft beers (on tap and bottled) and a decent wine list (bottles or by the glass). They also had Christmas pudding with caramel ice cream on special, which we couldn't say no to. This was a great spot to enjoy a more traditional (for Westerners), Sunday meal, just like your mum would do, probably better. I would recommend that you turn up close to 12 so that you get a full choice of what is on the Sunday roast menu.

We were so glad to find the Fire Station up and running when we arrived back in Sanur. This venue always was, and still is, one the best restaurants in Sanur. Nicco and his staff have done an amazing job of maintaining their high standards through the most challenging of times. The Fire Station is a "classy" bar restaurant with one of the best wine selections in Sanur. They produce fantastic crafted cocktails and great selection of local and imported beers. The food is of the highest standard and beautifully present. Nicco has a well trained team who seamlessly manage casual attentiveness with outstanding professionalism. After only 15 minutes back at this venue, we immediately booked for their famous Sunday roast (beef, lamb and pork) which is renown throughout Sanur. A must visit in Sanur.

The Sunday roast is a thing of beauty. Fat roasties, crispy Yorkshires, succulent tender meat. Steak night is sublime, great quality well priced steaks add a few juicy prawns and mash and you’ve perfection. If you are lucky enough to encounter the owner he is a complete hoot. The wine is fab - not such an easy ask in Bali. While we love eating local food, a trip to the fire station is a must every visit to Sanur.

We headed out for an early dinner and stumbled up the fire station. What a great find. My husband ordered a rib eye steak and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered the salmon - perfect. The staff were setting up a table for 16 people so we were lucky we came early. It has a great vibe. They were playing Frank Sinatra and the staff were friendly and informative.
