Popped into this hotel restaurant casually after walking past one morning. Great place with buffet breakfast selection - hot, cold, Asian as well as sweets.
The waiters as well as manager are so hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after during our visit.
It is great value for money to eat here (even if you are not staying at the hotel) and it has a very casual and artistic atmosphere.
Would definitely eat here again for breakfast.

Stayed in hotel just up road and were so disappointed with a poor overpriced breakfast that we ventured out and stumbled on this place. breakfast from 7am. Gets quite busy around 9am onwards. wide selection of foods, good choice of indonesian, european, american, with noodles, rices, spicy foods, cooked bacon/sausage etc, omlettes made to order, cereals, pastries, cakes, chilled meats and salads, chopped fruits, choice is endless. Waiters happy to make you as many lattes / cappuchinos as you want, all in the price. Only slight disappointment was the fruit juice which was diluted juice and not fresh fruit juice but it was the only thing i could pick at, and that picky. Eat all you want. We sat overlooking the street. Restaurant is attractive and modern design. Very appealing to eye and makes your tummy very happy. All for just 800 rps (£4). Our hotel was wanting more than twice that for half the breakfast. So this was our daily dining option and we cannot recommend it more.

Come here almost every weekend with a 2 yo baby for breakfast. The restaurant is pretty good, family friendly.. food changed everyday so you will never be bored and they are tasty. I really like the bread station as they are always fresh, also the Indonesian food, yumm.. the staffs are lovely Agus at kitchen always help with any of baby food requirements, and mitha is very friendly and attentive..
Ohh and yeah free flow coffee !!!

Only online map (on dirty iPad), high prices and poor selection of drinks. Service was good. Food did not come together, despite only a few guests. Unfortunately, even the desire for not spicy, which was explicitly offered by the waiter, was not implemented by the kitchen. There are significantly better restaurants in the nearby area with better taste and value for money.

Disappointing, overpriced, and poor service. Despite high reviews and beautiful decor, the food and drink were both overpriced and disappointing.
The rendang was praised in the menu, but what I received was not spicy at all. I requested medium spicy, which they took to mean zero spice. I can make a better dish at home. I told the waiter I was disappointed with my meal and he did not care at all, and walked off. So that was also a disappointing response.
Some of the beef cubes were hot, but some were still cold inside, so it hadn't been cooked well enough from frozen for the heat
My mango juice was tiny for the price, you can get twice as much for half the price, so this was 400% more expensive then it should be. They only give you a tablet to order from which I do not like, and I asked for a printed menu, which they told me they do not have. I can't say the service was good as nothing really went well, and I was unimpressed when I said this food is a disappointment they didn't
To cap off this wretched experience, I was forced to pay a 10% service charge. They did not tell me about this, and I did not see it on their stupid tablet. So got terrible service, bad food, and was forced to pay a service charge I didn't expect for bad service. I visited December 6th in the afternoon at a not busy time
I had really hoped to have a nice meal, but I regretted coming here at all.

- We are delighted to announce that we have received no complaints about the mango juice being served in tiny glasses. This may come as a surprise to some, given the trend of supersized drinks in the market. However, we, at our hotel, value quality over quantity.
-Apart from the mango juice, we have also received raving reviews about our beef rendang dish. However, we noticed a few guests mentioning that the dish was served cold. Please allow us to explain. Our beef rendang is slow-cooked to perfection, and it is our policy to serve it immediately after it is prepared. There may have been a slight delay in serving it, resulting in the beef rendang being served at a slightly lower temperature. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and assure you that we are working on improving our service .
- As for the tax and service charge, we would like to clarify that these are standard charges applied to all dining establishments in the area, also displayed clearly on the menu.
- About the price of our 4-star hotel. We have received numerous reviews stating that our prices are not overrated. We believe in providing our guests with a luxurious experience at a reasonable cost. We understand that travelers have various budgets, and we strive to accommodate everyone's needs without compromising on the quality of our services.
- We have also received positive feedback regarding our decision to go paperless with our menus. Myself and my Sister dined at the restaurant part of the hotel and spent an evening at the bar.
The food was great! I had the oxtail, it was cooked well and fell off the bone.
We had dinner, dessert and drinks and the total bill was very reasonable - definitely value for money.
The evening at the bar was excellent. Very welcoming and friendly. Big shout out to AZHAR and MANU, the bar tenders who were chatty, funny, and taught me how to do a trick with a soda can😜 . Will definitely be taking the trick home to impress my family and friends.

We had breakfast at the Lidah lokal every morning for a week and it was truly the best buffet breakfast I think I have ever had. Perdi made my double espresso every morning with a beaming smile and Loly and Uca looked after us making everything so wonderful. We also had lunch on our last day, again amazing. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.

The lamb dish was a lamb a long time ago - it was inedible, chewy mutton. The bean sprouts with an egg came swimming in a strange broth and the duck was just a deep fried over cooked tasteless piece of duck. The sambal was OK. The satays were fine.
We ate and ran - and will not return. Jepun is across the road and so much much better.

Wow, absolutely wow.
So the surroundings are ckean and modern with a typical balinese twist.
The breakfast selection was just perfect.
Egg station serves eggs cooked however you want and the scrambled eggs were perfect.
Lovely selection of fresh cakes and pastries.
And a wide range selection of Indonesian foods.
The coffee bar deserves a special mention, the service we received from Leo, Natan and Ricky was spot on, so pleasant, helful and professional.
In fact, all the other staff as well are super friendly.

My wife and I stumbled upon Lidah Lokal last October and had the best dining experience in Sanur. We returned last night with our entire family, and the food, ambience and service were enjoyed unanimously by all. Idra and his team were attentive and responsive. I suggest that the menu is unlike any other similar establishment -- local Balinese cuisine, as you might find on the street, but prepared and cooked with a quality hotel standard. Really interesting food and flavours that go well beyond the ubiquitous nasi and mie goreng. Throughly recommended.

Outstanding food outstanding service
So good in fact that i mentioned the insaaaanely good hot red balinese sauce and then perdi ond purnuwan offered me some to take ! But i knew I could not get it through customs !!
So
Then he went to the kitchen
Got the recipe from the chef along with instructions and proceed to show me on the internet the precise ingredients and method
Outstanding service
This is why we are coming back to Bali in a few months

Love the breakfast here.. have stayed for 3 nights so far, and breakfast has never missed a beat. Eggs cooked to order, great selection of Indonesian buffet, pastry selection and fresh fruit.
Staff always polite and professional.. Ketut from the kitchen teaching me about snake fruit! Perdi with his charm and smiling face ready to serve the perfect coffee.. will be sad to leave tomorrow, but always stay here when we are lucky enough to be in Sanur.

Great personal, really good information about the food, buuut on the advertising was misleading because it said lobster and crab, but there was none.

First class. Staff are just wonderful. Eggs spot on every time and a tantalising mix of local dishes to tempt you as well. So much choice, we were able to change it up every day over a week stay. Perdi and his staff made our stay so enjoyable. Highly recommended.

This is our third stay at the Artotel and the food and service at Lidah Lokal is one of the main reasons we come back to stay. The breakfast buffet is a highlight with plenty of fresh Indo and Western offerings changing daily. Dessert bar with amazing cakes and pasries with excellent coffee too! Perdi looked after us wonderfully today. We also highly recommend their dinner menu also for great lux Indonesian fare.
