Have visited This restaurant five over the past three weeks and have eaten pasta, gnocchi, pizza, antipasto and a number of desserts all have been wonderfully presenter and have tasted first class. You Will not find a better restaurant in Sanur and the service is out of this world. I have read a number of negative reviews about service and provning. The people who write them Should keep away from Top class restaurants as They Do Not understand food.

We are italians and here we found the best amatriciana pasta since 15 years travelling around Asia. Actually they corrected the original adding onions in the sauce, but acually we loved it. They serve also a good fresh maked bread to collect the sauce on the plate.. amazing! Oh, it's no more on the menu, but they are happy to do it by request (so better book for it or ask them). Our beloved long time maitre Darsana suggested us a perfect argentinian wine to pair with the pasta, a Trumpeter reserve.. delicious, but give it 10 minutes of time after opening to appreciate it. We came here since 2015 and it's nice to see that the covid stop didn’t change their quality. The athmosphere is a plus, easy but elegant, with soft live piano bar. See you soon the village!

Service was prompt and the appetizers and entrees were delicious but the evening was complimented by the deserts and the Amaretto coffee. Reasonably priced and located next door to Starbucks, well worth a visit. We ate early but by the time we left the dining room was getting busy.

Very disappointed, have eaten here a few times and this will be the last.
As a few other people mention the service is slow and the food on this occasion was not good.
I had to ask for drinks and 3 times for salt and pepper to be brought to the table.
When mentioned to the service staff that the food was not good they were not interested and just shrugged their shoulders as to say so what.
The on duty manager did not even come to talk to us and I let with real disappointment.
Tax and Service charge is added the bill, tax I don't mind but when the service and food was very substandard it id not a option to leave less of a tip.
The prices are in line with the restaurants in Seminyak area and the service there is far better.
Was not full occupancy maybe 50%

First time coming here, we read the reviews and would like to try. On arrival around 5.30pm , a staff approached us and asked if we have reservation, we showed our reservation, she looked confused and from her look, it seemed she couldnt find our reservation. She talked to another staff, and this other staff asked us again if we had any reservation, again we showed the staff our reservation, she looked confused again but in the end she assisted to our seat. Me and husband still confused what was all that about? We ordered wine, White Monkey, wasnt bad. Then we ordered : oyster, beef carpaccio, fish fillet ponzu, pasta lobster, ravioli spinach and steak. All of them, amazing. Except the pasta in lobster, a bit too overcooked. And tiramisu, can be improved:) The ambience was also very calming, with piano player and one singer adding the elegance of the venue. There is one male manager who looked lost in the operation, maybe thats why he was always hiding close by the bar, I raised my hand to him trying to ask something, instead straight away he asked his male server to approach my table. And me and husband witnessed this and we found it weird. Overall experience was nice and we will come back for the food.

Close by the Griya Santrian resort is this authentic Italian restaurant with a great variety of dishes, antipasti, fish, pasta salad, meats etc. I had Lombok oysters, and gratinated lobster with angel's pasta and tomato sauce, cooked to perfection. Service are very friendly and warm. The piano player plays very nice and relaxing tunes. There is a terrace and inside dinning.Higly recommended.

Wanting something different than nasi goreng, burgers, or steak...we opted to go Italian and decided to visit The Village Cucina. Unsure how busy the venue gets, we opted to book ahead and were glad that we did.
Decor is varied with relaxed outdoor seating plus a more formal indoor area. We were extremely lucky to be seated in the private dining area on a large table with linen tablecloth and napkins, good quality cutlery and glassware, plus full air-conditioning...very fancy and much appreciated! Service is typical of Bali being very attentive but unobtrusive.
The menu is very Italian befitting the venue, and quite large and varied. There are pizzas, a large selection of fresh pastas, meats, and seafood. Whilst I didn't try the lobster with angel hair pasta it looked delightful. But I can attest to the igh quality of the carbonara, lasagne, papperdelle, and marguerita pizza. These were delicious, properly executed, with generous serving portions. A really lovely meal.
Pricing is not cheap but sooo worth it!

Food was good, however service was slow almost non existent- even though 6 people in restaurant and 4 service staff. Booked using the reservation system however seem to be not working and staff asked in restaurant to do again. To show how I did it.
The pizza was amazing - red wine was from. The fridge so very cold.

A really bad experience here, we have traveled and visited the place for the last almost 20 years, where we visit Sanur every year on Bali, got acquainted with this restaurant as we for many years stayed at Puri Santrian, who also owns this restaurant in Sanur city centre and it was always a must, to visit the place when we again visited Sanur.
Previously it was a lovely revision, but at this visit a huge disappointment, one has previously run it up as an Italian restaurant with pizza in special class and otherwise a la carte which also works.
But to meet up at the restaurant and look at a big sign with pizza options and then when you have sat down at the table , got served a little appetizers and then a menu card, where you learn that almost 40% is overklisted with a brand “not avaliable” then think of it, but then you choose the classic cappricosa with parmesan and mushroom , but here you get so to know mushroom is not possible, so again we have to try to find a solution, it must be said that the sweet waitress really tried all the options, to compose a pizza, when we agreed, there came a pizza with very good pizza in the form of a lot of dough in abundance with burned overtones, it was just not OK, so therefore this review in bad spirit we, do not come back at The Village after many previous visits, that conveniently reached the recognition, but can understand it is because a new place as a mass manager, maybe there is a similar opportunity to make a revolution

Cannot fault this little gem of an Italian restaurant. We have eaten at others in Sanur but this is by far the best for food and service. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are friendly and the food is fresh, beautifully presented and tastes like homemade. I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli and my partner had the lasagne both dishes were delicious. We eat here every year we come to Bali and it has never disappointed us. Don’t follow all the crowds, just come here you won’t be disappointed!

I just left The Village after an extremely disappointing meal. I ordered the pizza Quattro Fromaggi and when it arrived, and I had a piece and a half, I realized that it was very bland and needed a bit of zip! I asked for chilies or sambal and they brought me a bottle of chili oil which I immediately poured all over the pizza.
The oil was rancid and disgusting! I had them take it away and was given a 10% discount on the pizza!! One would think that restaurants in Sanur would like a reliable clientele. Not so here.
They asked if I wanted something else but it was not communicated that it would be uncharged
Very disappointed. Had to stop and get some other food on the way home. Sorry, The Village, you’re off my list!

It was raining and we debated staying and eating in at our hotel - I am so glad we ventured out and ate at The Village Cucina. The food was first rate - quality ingredients prepared with love. We enjoyed the complimentary focaccia. I ordered the grilled tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly, rare as ordered and paired with salad. My husband ordered the pasta carbonara which he said was very good. I had two of their signature cocktails with gin and basil. Good service, nice atmosphere with gentle background music from talented pianist. We will be back. Soon.

Food without taste
We were a birthday party that chose the place "The Village Cucina Italiana" where we could have something to eat and drink.
The location of the place is central in Sanur. nice large car parking behind the restaurant. live music indoors.
The only thing that was disappointing for us was the quality of our food.
It was simply tasteless.
The chef should make the food taste better. we don't want strong spiced food, but food with flavor.

We have just left the restaurant after a very nice evening. Great starters - with Italien ham, bruschetta, carpaccio followed by great main dishes of pasta and pizza. Great service - our best recommendations for Italien food in Sanur (and we have tried to other italians as well)

The first feeling means so much we greeted warmly and seated exactly where we wanted it was intimate and private! The service was top notch and the steaks were delicious cooked perfectly as ordered I recommend the fillet ! A very tasty dinner and birthday song and dessert! The staff were enthusiastic and definitely enjoyed the experience too ! Thank you John Wynia
