We visited Kafe Batan Waru three times for dinner during our recent stay in South Kura. We loved the Dory Fish and Prawn dish. The Lemongrass Seafood special was very good as well. A very pleasant environment and friendly service, although was sometimes a bit...slow and prices on the high side, like most places in this locality. A good selection of Indonesian desserts as well. We stopped here on a particularly humid day, so we were tired and hot by the time our meals arrived. Although there was nothing wrong with the meals, 2 of them weren’t that special. We ordered vegetarian food and absolutely loved it! The dish with sautéed veggies and peanut sauce was 5 star! Mi Goreng and Nasi goreng and several appetizers were lip smacking good!More

I ate there twice when I stayed in Kuta and chose this place as they have a few nice Vegan options. Service was good and staff friendly and helpful, checking on ingredients and availability of the Vegan dishes. The only thing i would suggest to...management is to offer a free class of water as almost most restaurants I go to do. Hence only 4 stars.More

Batan waru is a must do for us each time we come to Bali. The food is great, and the service friendly.. If you like spicy/ chilli ask for local Sambal. But be careful it is really spicy And everything is reasonably priced.More
