Make sure you put this on your too do list while in Varanasi!....Vishnu will demonstrate how to make Chai from scratch. The best Chai in India hands down!!!. (Trust me I visited many areas and drank Chai every day for a month). You can purchase...at a very reasonable price and it’s soooo fresh!!...Vishnu also showed me around Varanasi. I experienced and have many great memories that I wouldn’t have being a solo female traveler. Vishnu has a heart of gold, friendly, trustworthy, informative, knowledgeable and very passionate about showing Varanasi... Bonus!! Vishnu is a fabulous photographer, carries your bags and knows the best shopping and eating spots to really appreciate Varanasi’s traditional food at ridiculously cheap price!!More
The owner explained and let us try masala chai in every step of preparation. Very friendly open and knowledgeable host.
Make sure to plan a visit to Vishnu’s tea emporium shop while in Varanasi. If you like, the owner (Vishnu) will show you how to make a Chai from scratch. Very tasty and highly recommended!
Very informative and knowledgeable at a reasonable price. Vishnu also helped us to get around Varanasi and thanks to his experience and knowledge we truly enjoyed our time there.
Great vibes and great spices! Merci Vishnu for your welcoming smile and perfect Chai recipe, I brought your Masala spices back home to share the Indian experience with friends and make it last longer!
If you are looking to buy genuine tea masala, call Vishnu at 9628533334 if you are lost looking for his shop. There are conmen saying his shop is closed and will try to take you somewhere else. He takes time to explain and demonstrate his...tea making talent. Meanwhile I am back in Sydney looking out across darling harbour, sipping my Chai as the sun rises over the water, as the memories of Varanasi come flooding back as though I never left. Thank you Vishnu. (His pic is below)More
He is just a guy who likes chatting and wants to sell tea for foreign tourists. This place is neither a restaurant nor a cafe. Chai tasting was charged. Not bad but not great. We had a nice chai with INR6 at the small place...near International Music Center Ashram. The guy was always fair for the locals and tourists. It tastes genuine.More
Its a tea stall which makes different varieties of Tea like ginger,Masala, Special a vishnu guy who runs this shop and serve tea and a local mentor.Taste of the tea was awesome.
We were treated to a great demonstration by the host. Really went into detail. Cleaned utensils in boiling water and put in mineral water to drink. Really understood his guests. 100r for 2 well prepared teas, very enjoyable and worth every moment!!
Vishnu was wonderful. He sat down with us for two hours chatting and serving us tea. The next day he took us around the town for a tour. We saw the temples, Sanskrit school, and had some delicious Pani Puri. He made our short trip...to Varanasi very memorable. Must go visit!More
The shop is small, but hard to miss as there are signs for it everywhere. Vishnu welcomed us in and taught us how to make the perfect cup of masala chai. We talked with him for some time and he told us to come meet...him later for the evening. He helped us find a boat to watch the aarti ceremony from and then took us for an extremely delicious meal at a local joint. That evening we drank beers and chatted for hours. We loved him so much that we decided to take a walking tour with him the next day. He's a great guide! Definately recommend going to visit.More
I went to Varanasi with some friends and was recommended by a friend back home to meet Vishnu Bhai and go to his tea store. What a recommendation that was! For the 5 weeks we were in Varanasi, Vishnu Ji went out of his way...to host, help, and be a tour guide to my friends and I. He took us to his tea store and treated us like royalty, teaching us how to make masala chai and treating us to chai many times during our visit. I have bags of chai that I make at home which has now become a must-have in our house. I also order it from Vishnu Ji to Australia every year. He is such an honest, kind-hearted soul with tea to match. Visit to his tea store and meeting him in Varanasi is a must! Very grateful for the experience! Thanks Vishnu Bhai! Hopefully see you again soon 💕More
The tea emporium was a great experience. Lovely owner and brother who were very welcoming. We were shown how to make masala chai tea and there was a good selection of teas to choose from to take home. Highly recommend a visit when in Varanasi.
After getting a recommendation from a friend, I visited Vishnu on my first trip to India in January of 2017. I have been back to Varanasi twice since then, and always spend time drinking chai and talking to Vishnu. He speaks many languages, has a...great sense of humor, and has a great selection of teas. Many thanks, and I'll be back again soon!More
