Extremely crowded, since it was time for Ganga Aarti around 6:30pm. Honestly the Tikki chaat was not as per my expectation since I had better quality chaat at other joints in Varanasi. The Samosa chaat was also OK though Gulab Jamun was yummy. It took...a lot of time to serve and also at the time of paying the bill and hence my 4 rating.More

No doubt it's a famous joint when it comes to chaat at Godowlia market and the crowd outside the shop at any hours confirms the same, however while there are few of the favourites not everything is as great. When here the Tomato Chaat is...the best but not the same can be said about some other items. But no doubt the place is a must visit for experience, the sheer demand from the tempted customers is so overwhelming that even though they have multiple people taking the orders but still they are short of bandwidth. ProTip: Just stand there and observe what most of the people are ordering for ( you don't even need to ask, as they serve its quite evident) and then place your order.More

I visited this place with my family. It is located on the way towards the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple. In the evening the place was really crowded. Still serving was quick. We tried 3 dishes - Tomato Chaat, Aloo Tikki and Dahi Wada. Aloo Tikki...was the best of the lot. Dahi Wada was also good whileTomato Chaat tested OK. Aloo Tikki was medium spicy with a tangy taste. There is hardly any place to sit, all you have to do is stand on the road and enjoy their food. They do provide dustbins for the waste. If you visit Varanasi, this place is worth a visit once.More

One of the busiest eatry in Varanasi. Don't go according to its size....it's one of the popular snack corner in the state....please do try all their chaat items special request for tamatar ki chaat and kulfi falooda. Didn't get the opportunity to try chura matar...but there is always scope for next time. Staffs are really busy but they do take out time to have chat with u and promote their products too. Must visit if u in the Varanasi.More

Its legacy can be determined by the huge crowd it attracts every day. Be it the natives of Varanasi or the tourists, Kashi Chat Bhandar caters to one and all, with its amazing range of Chaats, Pani Puri, and snacks. This little place is located...in Godolia, at walking distance from Kashi Vishwanath Mandir. we had a tiring day after playing the role of a tourist and stopped here for some sumptuous snacks. yup, crowded, did not get a table, waited for 20 minutes. ordered papdi, bhalla, panipuri, tikiya, and a couple of items more. must admit, great taste, and it's not hyped. go for it. but they should think about expanding the area. it's very congested.More

When visit this place then only you would get to know why Banarsi's are proud of their chaat. Gol guppe and aloo tikki were amazing. One should not miss the tamatar chaat. Indeed worth the pain we invested finding this place.

This place is a few metres from a major junction and location wise it is wonderful. The crowd spills over to the street and is probably the best place to eat the chaat. One needs to be a bit forceful to get what one wants...or else you are elbowed out of the way by more aggressive guests. The tomato chaat with its gentle burnt flavour is wonderful. The aloo tikki is passable but with a wonderful flavour of asafoetida. The palak chaat is not really worth it. The dahi puri is good and has some wonderful dahi. We did not try the golgappas (not available that day) nor the Gulab Jamuns ( Too Crowded)More

This is one of the most famous chat shops in varanasi. We tried almost everything in the shop. While tamatar chaat is famous, we found it to be average. We liked aloo tikki chaat and palak patta chaat. The hygiene could be better. Overall, the...taste and ambiance both are average. Feel that the place is overrated.More
