Very nice cafe close to Assi Ghat. This family run business put a lot of attention on welcoming people. The place is small but very friendly. Prices are low and food is good. You get free Wifi and they also support some charity organization. A place to go in Varanasi.

I am glad that lonely planet recommended Aum Café! Not the easiest place to find, but definately worth a visit if you are looking for a comfy and chill place to enjoy great food, cakes and coffee!

If you have to eat one place every day, make it here, and you'll never be sick. All the food tastes so balanced. It's also well affordable- and there is even bottomless boels of kichadi!

I came here and had India's best carrot cake. It was delicious. (before that i had the big burrito which was also great but the carrot cake was even better) also lovely lady owner.

A place to relax and feel a bit at home. Good breakfast, coffe and ice cream! I also tried their cold teas and citrus drink which is gold during the hot days-good wifi and friendly staff.

We loved eating all things Indian during our stay but this place run by an American who loves India is a perfect excuse to have something somewhat less spicy. Delicious food and a friendly atmosphere.

The Ginger beer was amazing and the cardamom cake was really good. A little peaceful place to rest and escape the traffic for a while.

I was served unclean packaged water which tasted like petrol. The waiter tried it and spat it out. The owner abused me for asking her to check with her bottle seller. The food is fine. The location is nice. But I was worried about getting dysentery and felt very hurt. It wasn't necessary.

I'm the back lanes of Varanasi near Assi Ghat is the quaint little Aum Cafe. We sucked out after early morning puja for a cup of coffee and a brief respite. The owner came out to chat, briefly, and she, like the cafe, is bright and cheery. We enjoyed a couple of fabulous cappuccinos before we returned to our hotel... More
