We went to this restaurant even though we are not customers of the hotel because it is also open to external customers. They have a closed room and the restaurant area open to the terrace. The first thing to say is that the Taj Mahal in the evening is not seen because it is not illuminated. The food we ordered was well presented, good in flavor. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with live music playing from 18:30 every night! The food was wonderful and our waiter Rishav was very attentive and recommended some lovely dishes. The staff in the restaurant were all very nice and made us feel very welcome. I really recommend this restaurant and during the day you can see the Taj Mahal from the terrace!

The ambience was beautiful on a balmy Monday night. Live music added a touch of relaxing peacefulness, with candlelight per table to create the vibe. The meals served were made to suit individual taste buds. My daughter doesn’t eat too much heat hence the cashew nut mutton plus butter roti and butter naan with dhal soup was our go to. The dinner ended with a wonderful crafty message of LOVE made with real rose petals. Hakim and his colleague both served us with great respect and attentiveness. Would definitely return here if we do come back to Agra in the future.

This restaurant was lovely for a romantic evening and has amazing rooftop views of the Taj Mahal, but also worked for us as a family with younger kids (8+10). The staff were very friendly and the kids' fish fingers and chicken noodles went down a treat. Our north Indian dishes suited our English plates well and the live music felt authentic and atmospheric. Thanks to Hakim Singh and Sikander Khan for their great service!

We love the Taj Terrace Rooftop restaurant -the calmness and serenity of the rooftop restaurant is only matched by the view, service and fresh culinary choices.
The restaurant staff go above and beyond to ensure your experience at the Taj Terrace is a memorable one.
In particular, we had the pleasure of being looked after by Hakim who provided invaluable insight into each of the dishes considered as there is an extensive menu, at expected prices for this level of service and culinary quality.

This is a perfect spot for a lovely dinner with live music. The tabla artist and singer were absolutely amazing. We requested them to sing some of our old favourite songs and gazals. Our friend even joined them for a duet. The manager and waiter were very hospitable and made every effort to make sure that the food was upto our taste. I would highly recommend this place for great ambience, music and yummy food.

We went to this hotel for dinner after the Taj Mahal visit and returned home super satisfied and happy. The food was incredibly delicious. Hâkim and Sikandar Khan served our food both were very friendly waiters and also made us laugh. Live music was played in the background. The ambience and cleanliness was very good. The Rooftop restaurant offers a romantic candle light dinner and the kind waiter, Hakim Singh, arranged petals of roses on our table!
My husband had a vegetarian Handi, the Chef’s choice and he was happily surprised!
I made the mistake to choose from the Western oriented menu, a chicken sizzlar, which was up to the standard and good but I should have ordered something from the Indian cuisine!
So the restaurant was good!

Buntu is a great server and gave us great food service. He was there if we needed anything and was able to take our orders and wait on anything we need. We got the special meal and were very impressed with the service. For the price of one date night in the US you can have a Taj mahal view with great food that tastes home made!

Xlnt service, the candle in a bowl of red rose petals made our delicious meal even more delicious. Added a real fresh red rose stem was a treat will come again and again. The service staff, Hakim Singh & Pankaj Yadav were the best. Please, they deserve a compliment raise. Thank you, Ken Ibara.

As soon as we arrived, the manager welcomed us and showed us upstairs to the rooftop dining room. It was very serene and pretty. There was only one other couple dining. We were there after sunset so we could only see the shadow of the Taj Mahal. It appeared that from the rooftop dining room, you could only see a part of Taj Mahal as the rest was covered by a tree and other structures. However, they have higher levels that you can climb up to via the rooftop stairs and see the Taj Mahal and all the surrounding areas.
The food was delicious and very tender. The portions are huge so you can order a rice dish and a second dish and share among two people. No rice comes with any dish. If you get the biryani, there’s more than enough for two people.
They had a musician and a singer playing and singing very mellow music. We were hoping for more upbeat and exciting music. After we were done with our meal, one of the servers stopped by and made some hearts with rose petals on our table.

Really tasty food and milkshakes. Music with dinner was also a nice addition, setting a good vibe. Service was attentive and Hakim Singh was super helpful in deciding what to eat. Sadly a little too late to see the Taj Mahal, but nice rooftop. Overall would recommend.

I wanted to share what an amazing experience I had at the event! Hakim Singh provided exceptional service and Chef Pankaj Yadav prepared delicious food. The live classical music added a soothing touch to the atmosphere. Keep up the great work!

There is a small esplanade with musicians, it’s very pleasant.
Food wise: excellent!
We ate there 3 times, always vegetarian Indian specialties, a treat.
And access to a platform with a view of the Taj Mahal

This is the restaurant on the top floor of the Hotel Taj Resorts. We ate an evening meal there which was included as part of our hotel booking.
The food was lovely - a soup starter, traditional Indian curries with rice and naan, followed by some ice cream for dessert!
We were served by Hakim Singh who spoke decent English and was very attentive.
I think there is a view of the Taj Mahal during the day from the terrace, however at night you cannot see it. There was live traditional music which was a fun addition!
