We have had pizza in Italy and many other countries but surprisingly coming to Madurai and Phil’s bistro and we had the best pizza ever. Had a really bad experience today. We have been regular visitors to the restaurant. 1. Harissa cottage cheese was very bad. Upon giving the feedback, the waiter already knew that Paneer was too bad & just acknowledged. 2. Order was way too late. Ordered a...Pizza & missed the order & significantly came to table late 3. Asked the waiter to pass the feedback to the chef & he ignored it completely & never received any acknowledgement of this.More
Nice change from the typical Indian cuisine. Pasta was excellent. Service was top notch. The server Seshan, gave suggestions for less touristy attractions. He was very friendly and very helpful. The venues was very nice. Great place for an excellent meal!

Wanted a break from Indian food. The meal was good and the staff really super adorable. I forgot my hat and glasses there, and since the talkative waiter had asked at which hotel we were staying, my belongings were returned to me without me even...asking. When I realized I'd forgotten my stuff in the morning, the hotel staff returned it and explained what had happened.More
Food is tasty. A dish would cost between 400 to 500. But the service is very poor. They do not care if you have been properly attended. I was a regular customer until today. I have been highly disappointed by the service which was provided...to me today. The server placed Lasagna direct from the oven. It was so hot that it could have burnt my skin. I asked him to call the chef, but he refused. I told him that he could have at least cooled down the plate before serving. He simply told that they would serve that Lasagna in that manner only to all their guests. I had not even touched the food. I got irritated by his reply, just paid him a round sum for my soup and I even paid for another item which I had ordered but not received and started leaving. He cared the least, he got the money and left for the next table. If you are concerned only about the quality of food and not the cost or service, Phil's bistro might be your place.More

We threw a lunch birthday party and had a guest list of 28 people. The hall could accommodate everyone comfortably. The pre-ordered veg and non veg buffet was served hot and on-time. It consisted starters such as sweet corn soup, corn cheese balls, crispy chicken...and tomato olive crostini. The main course included Creamy pasta with corn, Arabita with chicken pasta, Pizza - veg & non veg, Garlic rice, Chicken pepper steak and Deviled veg. I'd highly recommend the 3 cheese layered pizza, tomato olive crostini and risotto. The service of the staff was impeccable. The lively ambience of the place during Christmas season is definitely a bonus! In Madurai, Phil's Bistro is definitely a good choice for fine dining with friends and family.More

The staff is really helpful and friendly. The food is amazing and tasteful. I recommend this place! It is a little bit outside the center of Madurai, but that's no problem. A tuktuk is easy to find and it's worth the money.
Seshan, the head of the staff is very kind and friendly. We came for dinner, it was so good so we came again the day after. Nice music and best atmosphere.
We were craving to have some pasta, then we found this place in Madurai. This is an awesome place with scrumptious food. The staff were also very courteous. Surely recommend for Italian and American cuisine in Madurai.

Phil's Bistro serves good quality western food for those looking for a change from their Indian diet. There is also a good selection of Indian dishes.
