If you are looking for some authentic thin crust wooden fired pizzas, you should definitely check out this place in Udaipur. The restaurant offers some pretty lakeside views as well. The pizzas are served thin crust and generously topped with cheese and veggies. I tried one of the desserts which was walnut based and absolutely loved it.

Happened to visit this rooftop place through google recommendations and I’m so glad, it popped up on my feed. The most ideal time to visit this place would be just before sunset and the sheer view will just sweep you off your feet. Few beverages we had ordered were amazing, however the winner was the wood fired Pizza this place has to offer. It was arguably one of the best pizza’s I have ever had. It was worth every penny and I’ll simple come bac just to have that pizza again. Our server Mr. Mansar ji was polite and kind enough to recommended dishes of the menu based on what we wanted.
Tip- Most of these lake side restaurants are situated in this narrow lanes of old city, so better to hop on in a tuk-tuk. Don’t think of driving around in your own personal or private vehicle.

We decided after eating non-stop Indian food during our trip that we would try some non-Indian food. We had pizza and a falafel wrap here and sat on the roof to look over the lake. The food was delicious! Pizza was very tasty and cooked well. The seating is beautiful and we had great views over the lake. I would have preferred no shelter to get more sunshine but was still lovely. Nice spot and great food. Would visit again and recommend to a friend if looking for a break from Indian food (although I can’t remember if there was Indian food also on the menu, I assume so!)

Went here following a recommendation from the lonely planet guide. I can’t deny that the view from the terrace outside was lovely.
I ordered the brownie and a cappuccino. The brownie was tasty- the coffee, however, was very burnt (although nice to have at least an attempt of a ‘proper coffee’).
Sadly, what let the place down massively for me was the service, which was a shame. Staff came across as rude and dismissive- not the warm, welcoming environment I was expecting.
On the whole, an average experience and there are as beautiful cafes/bars in Udaipur to visit.

Lovely location with a great view of the lake from the rooftop. Three floors of seating so great for all weathers! The food was great and the pancakes really hot the spot!! Coffee and nutella hot chocolate were also very good. They also have a good range of other foods on the menu and a few bakery items. If we were here later in the day we would’ve tried the wood fired pizzas which you can see being made!

Jheel’s Ginger Coffee Bar & Bakery is more than a cafe that serves the best coffee in the old city, it also has a restaurant on the top two floors with beautiful views over the lake where you can order delicious pizzas cooked in the woodfire oven. Located literally on Pichola Lake in the old city, Jheel’s sits next to the famous footbridge and the sacred living Hindu temples on the Gangour Ghat. The bonus is you can also stay there as it is a guesthouse with cute balconies overlooking the lake. FYI the food is vegetarian and is not licensed but it is delightful & delicious nonetheless.

Visited last week, 8 of us. Sat on the top floor outdoor space. Beautiful views of the lake, Sadly they didnt' have fans since it was a hot afternoon, guess it will be better in the evenings. Parking is a pain. Don't think of driving there, best to walk or get a local rickshaw to drop you. They have a good spread of Sandwiches, Mocktails and although they are vegan, they still server eggs!!!!, which was good. The wood fired Pizzas were great and also good value for money. All in all a great place to have a meal by the lake, Consider it as an alternative to Ambrai, which is just across the Water but that is a different customer base altogether, this one is more for a more younger crowd. No Alcohol!!

A place with utmost qualitative ambience which leads to an enigmatic experience leaving a delicious memory.
Jheel's Ginger Coffee Bar and Bakery has always been on our favourite list. On our recent trip to Udaipur, we have been here for the morning coffee.
The cafe is located in old city near to the gangaur ghat and it is advisable to reach by walk or on two wheelers, coz the car cannot reach there as the roads are quite narrow and its one way only.
The place is spread over 3 floors with the ground floor offering you seating just besides the lake.
The rooftop seating offers a nice view but in case you have any trouble climbing stairs, then avoid it.
We decided to sat outside on the ground floor as there wasn’t anyone there on a Monday morning. And the view of the lake was absolutely breath-taking from the place.
They have really good coffee and fresh bakery treats which includes variety of sandwiches, pizzas, Pastas and snacks.
We enjoyed the food we ordered but the service was little slow. This place can do so much better.
Overall, we had a great time especially after the sunset the view is amazing from the place, as there will be lights all around the lake, making the place so vibrant.

This place was recommended to me by the host in Fateh Prakesh hotel, which is a testimony in itself. It is very close to Udaipur City Palace, the food is really good (best omelette I had in India), kitchen is fast and the staff is not only attentive and professional, but aso very pleasant without being overbearing. Cannot recommend enough.

Visited Jheel's Ginger Coffee Bar & Bakery on April 7, 2022. Amazing views from the restaurant, especially after the sunset, as there will be lights all around the lake, making the place so vibrant. It is definitely a great place to visit and have delicious food. We tried Herbs Pizza, Sizzling chocolate brownies, and soups. The prices are fine for the location they are offering. The stairs are pretty congested, and the staff appeared to be in a hurry as they seemingly wanted to maximise the number of people they serve by the closing time. However, a great experience overall.

I lived in Udaipur for a year and undoubtedly Jheel is the best bet in the city. This was my favourite Sunday breakfast point and glad to share that I had my last breakfast in Udaipur (right Before flying back to Delhi) in Udaipur. Amazing views, great coffee, awesome shakes, pastas and wood fire oven pizzas make this the best cafe in town!

This is the place to come for some coffee/shakes and sandwiches and keep nibbling on them while you enjoy the water from the lake. It's close enough for you to touch the water. Very quiet place where you will find a lot of foreigners sitting for hours and reading a book. Do the same and you will go back with a relaxed head.

Firstly, every floor has limited seating. In case you are wondering what I mean by "every floor", don't be surprised if you find space to sit on 4th floor, without an lifts to help your cause.
Secondly, there seems to be lack of coordination between each floor on available space to sit. So just go floor by floor and try your luck, and if you don't space at the top, walk down again. Sad but true.
They have a fairly good variety as far as food goes - which is why you are going to visit this place. I tried a White Sauce Mushroom Pasta (5/5) , a Veg Pizza (3.5/5) and Cold Coffee (4.5/5)
There seems to be a hype around the views from this place. I think they are pretty average.
Card Machine seems to be a perineal problem here. Read another review of someone having faced this issue, and so did I.
Service ... They have miles to go before they sleep.

Invited some of our clients from Mumbai and arranged a meet at this cafe due to its nice view and food . But after visiting I felt I made a huge mistake. The staffs behaviour was pathetic , rude and disrespectful. Every request was denied on face very easily as they have no issues with customers leaving or staying. Especially Dinesh , he was very rude and arrogant. I urge the owners to focus on misbehaved staff so that atleast the customers like us can come

It is located near gangaur ghat and has a spectacular view of pichola lake. The seating is very amazing. Loved the lake side seating as well as the rooftop. Service is fast and nice. Prices are decent.
Loved their hot chocolate and bicerin Coffee. The frappe was also nice , need to improve on food. The cheese chilli toast was very bland .
