We stayed here for 3 nights while on Tiger Safari at Rathenbore-this hotel and Safari are not to be missed. Add this stop to your itinerary of the triangle (New Delhi, Jaipur and Udaipur). The Manager was top in her field as all management was...during our stays in India. The staff was so well trained. I would say some of the best service in the world. The pool is also lovely. They have an Asian elephant visiting each day. The shop is also wonderful. The tents divine. I lost two diamond rings on the floor and the housekeeper turned them in to management before I knew they were missing.More

Fantastic! There are not enough superlatives to describe this Oberoi location. The trip was a birthday present for my husband. When we arrived, my husband was greeted with birthday salutations. When we arrived at our tent "Best Wishes" was spelled out in flowers on the...threshold. Inside the tent, the staff had fastened balloons to each corner of our four poster bed, another nod to my husband's birthday. As we walked toward the dining room for dinner, we were redirected to a special secluded spot outdoors for a private dinner. The pathway to our table was decorated with flowers and our table was festooned with flowers and candles. Lovely music was playing to accompany our dinner. The entire evening was orchestrated and attended by a private butler, Aditya. Absolutely superb. There are not enough accolades to offer Aditya. What a fantastic evening. When I made inquiries regarding the preparation of various dishes, Aditya invited the chef to visit our table. He willingly offered recipes so that we could attempt to recreate some of the dishes at home. All of this was done to celebrate my husband's birthday, and none of this was requested. This was done by the Oberoi staff in order to ensure a lovely stay. The cost for the meal was the same as if we had dined on those same dishes in the dining room! What a luxurious welcome! The accommodations are described as tents. However, the "tents" more closely resemble an expansive cottage with a "circus tent" type roof. Each tent is nested in a garden of flowers. Masses of bougainvillea surround each tent. In fact, there are so many varieties of flowers and birds (and monkeys and peacocks) that a naturalist is available for tours of the gardens. Prya served as our naturalist and she was so helpful and instructive: even using her binoculars to secure a close up of a particular kingfisher. She was delightful. If you travel to Ranthambhore, do not miss the Oberoi Vanyavilas, where the staff is solicitous. They anticipate your every need. It was the best service that we had ever experienced in our many years of travel.More

We kicked off our tour of Rajasthan with 3 nights in Ranthambhore. The resort was stunning, the staff attentive, food delicious and the wild life incredible……the spa treatments we very welcomed after a hard day in a jeep (munching on Oberoi supplied snacks) spotting Tigers....Only wish we’d had an extra night.More

My girlfriend and I spent a couple nights here so we could go on a tiger safari in Ranthombore. Every room is a tented stand alone room. The rooms are very spacious with outdoor space to eat or relax. The staff was terrific and eager...to help. The food was delicious. On top of it all, we had the luck to see a tiger with three cubs on our first safari drive that was booked through the hotel (book far in advance if possible). We also did the Sundowner on top of a 400 ft high tower with our own private flute player. It was magical. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Ranthambore.More

Then to come to the hotel and have great food, beautiful dinners under the stars, naturalists to educate us about the forest and tigers, staff that makes everything perfect treating us as...if we are the only guests and welcoming my grandkids with kindness and fun! We also visited Lakshmi, the hotel's rescued elephant and enjoyed learning about her and her life! Can't wait to go back!More

It’s been more than a month since I visited and stayed at The Oberoi Vanyavillas, and I kept missing my chance to write a review but it’s been on my mind to share my honest opinion about this resort. It was my first time visiting...Ranthambore, and I was extremely keen on seeing tigers. It was unfortunate as I didnt get a chance to see a single tiger, but staying at Vanyavillas was totally worth the trip! The staff, the warm treatment, the detail and the care was beyond amazing. A few of us were lactose intolerant and the staff was so careful in making sure that there was enough lactose free dishes and snacks available for us during our rides. On the last night, we celebrated my parents’ wedding anniversary and the team, and head chef did a marvelous job at preparing the evening so beautifully. Finally, the night before we left, we found a thoughtful note and some goodies left by the housekeeping team, which really touched my heart. It’s the small details that matter and make you feel at home. Thank you to Ms Ratna and her fantastic team for making this trip so memorable! I hope to be back soon! 🙏🏽More

To put things into context, we stayed for three nights in early April. This is a stunning hotel, set in very beautiful and peaceful grounds. I’m not sure how many guests it can cater for but it never seemed busy (despite being full) and as...the tents are spread out it just adds to the serenity. I’ve been fortunate with over 30 years of work to stay in some fabulous hotels and this is up there in terms of setting, the quality of the rooms and amenities, food and dining and the staff (who were magnificent). There’s probably not much that I can add to previous reviews - the ‘tents’ are absolutely huge, bigger than a standard hotel room - one large bedroom and a huge adjoining area with a bath (a bit on the snug side !), toilet, shower, two sinks and plenty of space for luggage. The bed was huge and comfortable, the pillow menu was great as it allowed us to use a memory contour pillow, the chocolates were much appreciated (!), and the little touches (extra mouthwash when our own supply was low, extra chocolates at night, bath salts when we mentioned how much we liked baths) were lovely. The spa was superb - my partner said the 90 minute massage was probably the best she’s ever had, to the extent that she fell into a deep sleep. She also joined in one outdoor yoga session (beautiful setting) that she loved. I’ll also mention the gym - small but the bike, elliptical trainer, treadmill and weights were ideal and such a lovely setting. And I should also recognise the Naturalist who provided a terrific walk that concluded on top of the watch tower. We opted for a safari to Ranthambore Fort with a guide provided by the hotel. It was superb and more enjoyable than we expected. It can get busy so go as early as you can we left at 7am but I’d suggest leaving a little earlier. The food was outstanding - breakfast, lunch and dinner. We mostly ate local food and appreciated the suggestions from the staff. The drinks list is fine though the wine list was very disappointing - sadly every single hotel, restaurant and bottle shop we visited during three weeks in India offered a fairly dreadful range of red wines. Low rated options from India, Australia, South Africa and South America and all at hugely inflated prices. But that’s a very minor point as the gins were lovely and a massive thanks to the mixologist, Justin for some truly superb cocktails in the bar ! We opted for two tiger safaris in a private gypsy. So well organised - water, hot drinks, nibbles and blankets are provided as necessary. Our driver and guide were so good we requested them for day two. We were fortunate to see four tigers on the first drive though sadly none the second. It’s a beautiful park though so whilst day two was disappointing we still enjoyed the experience. A word for all of the staff who were superb - polite, attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and professional but also extremely relaxed and engaging and all had a wonderful and cheeky sense of humour. A special particular thanks to Harsh, the fabulous Sara and her female colleague in the dining room who was lovely. We had so much fun engaging with the staff that whilst the hotel, setting and food were superb, it’s the staff we’ll remember the most. I’ll close by also mentioning the General Manager, Ratna Malhotra. Our sleep was interrupted a couple of nights by some rather inconsiderate construction taking place in a nearby residence. The hotel was able to address it one night but not the next. Frustrating but we realised it was beyond their control. Ratna introduced herself to us in the morning and spoke with us at length, apologising profusely and kindly arranged a lovely surprise for us. This was most unexpected but hugely appreciated. I strongly believe that a mark of any good business or hotel is how they respond to an issue or something out of the ordinary. The Oberoi can be extremely proud of Ratna and the entire team at Vanyavilas. I’d highly recommend a stay here - you will not regret it.More

The most striking n humbling experience we had on reaching this resort was the warm welcome by the front desk and the General Manager Ms Ratna Malhotra. Frankly I have been a Taj patron since 2009 n have stayed at almost all their properties be...it resort , business or Luxury hotels but I have never seen the GM welcoming each n every guest with such warmth as Ms Ratna Malhotra. This sets a very elevated standard of hospitality called Athithi Devo Bhava. We stayed with Oberoi Vanyavilas from Feb 1st - Feb 3rd n it was most beautiful, relaxing n peaceful experience. To start with, our checkin was smooth which just happened as we relaxed with welcome drinks. This time of the year is quite cold in Ranthambore but our tent was maintained at optimum temperature making our stay very comfortable. I have no words to describe the beauty of the property which is frequented by different species of birds , making it so so serene n musical all through the day. This property hosts beautiful manicured landscapes, sight of which is so soothing to soul. Food, the most important part of any leisure stay and the same is as delicious as the property. It caters all kinds of cuisine and the chef churns out some real gems. Just that if the wait period is lil reduced, it will be so much more fun for the palette at the dining. I very much appreciate oberoi gesture in stacking up the vehicle with water, food n blankets when we took our safari. Our trip would have been incomplete if not for Spa......excellent therapists and an equally competent yoga guru. Housekeeping did a wonderful job in maintaining our place of stay n with turn down services. Sadly I haven't registered names of personnel who so relentlessly go about their job with a smile. Heartfelt thankyou to their services. All in all we had a wonderful visit n stay here in Ranthambore n would love to visit again. My humble 🙏 to the entire vanyavilas team.More

This was our first trip for a jungle safari as we wanted to see the tigers in Ranthambore Tiger Santuary. As we are from Singapore and this was our first extensive trip by road in India I wanted the best for my family. After lot...of contemplating I chose this property although it is the most expensive in this area if I am not mistaken. We were more than satisfied although we did not see the tigers but staying here, the services, hospitality, tents and the whole property itself is beyond words . The general manager Ms Ratna with her team takes personal care of all the guest. We wanted to stay more but due to cost we moved to another five star there . The diff in price is too big . The Safari please book outside due to price diff and nothing special in their services for this that one need to pay such high cost .I sincerely wish if they offer better rates we will go back to stay for few days only to enjoy the property and Oberoi hospitality.More
