The hotel's garden restaurant, serving North-Indian and Tandoored stuff seemed popular and for the right reasons. The good is excellent, the ambiance perfect resplendent with the fires, live music, and a brilliant setting. Even the breakfast served in the all-day dining restaurant was very comprehensive...and of great quality.More

We stayed in room 9 in the palace. The property is very well maintained with lots of trees and the lake is right by the palace. There were plenty of peacocks, parrots, monkeys, bats and owls. The stables were nice with many horses. They had...their own vegetable garden. The dinner outdoor was nice with fire pits all around.More

During our trip around the Golden Triangle, stayed one night and was very impressed with not only the most beautiful setting but an amazing dinner eating under the stars with our own wood burner to keep the evening chill off. The staff made sure we...had everything we required.More

A stone's throw away from the ancient capital of Marwar, Mandore, and only 8 km from the city-center of Jodhpur, Bal Samand is a world away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The lake was engineered in the 12th Century but the exquisite...red sand-stone palace came later; it was built by Maharaja Jaswant Singh I of Jodhpur . You will find yourself lost among the chirping birds , running monkeys and dancing peacocks 🦚. The huge golf courses and lush green lawns with gigantic fountains and Marwadi breed horses brings us to a bygone era . There is a beautiful palace and lake with is private to the resort. The amazing hospitality and being a part of the nature is such a beautiful feeling . Trust me , the pictures don’t do justice to the beauty of this place . This is a must visit , if you are around Jodhpur .More

Bal samand lake palace is a huge 60 acre royal property of the Maharaja of Jodhpur. Royalty can be felt in each nook and corner of the resort. we stayed there for 2 nights with my 5 year old child. The stay was cozy, comfortable...and relaxing. The resort is away from hustle bustle of the city. Sleep quality was excellent. Basic things like cleanliness, hygiene, privacy were also excellently taken care off. The few things which could have been better was :- (1) The swimming pool was not temperature controlled. My child was too enthusiastic to use it but could not use it as the water was so cold even in sunny afternoon. (2) Food and beverages offered were too expensive, 2 to 3 times more than its actual MRP or market price. Moreover, there is no good option available nearby resort so mandatory you have to purchase things from its restaurant at high price. (3) Bath tub, shower system was missing. Basic bath facilities were only provided. Otherwise, staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly. The Best thing about hotel staff is that all the staff are working there from years, hardly any freshers are seen which enhance your service quality experience. Mr. Jitendra Singh and HanumanJi were excellent and provided us personalize service. Food offered was awesome on taste and quality. Dal makhani, Veg. Platter and Chakki ki sabzi at Kebab corner was the best we had till date. We would highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a cheerful change.More

We stayed two nights in the garden rooms of this 60+ acre summer palace. Lake, peacocks, Marwali horses, monkeys, and a hunting lodge (now the suites) - this hotel had it all. The garden rooms were remodeled from old stables, we understand - now comfortable...but a little age-worn. Breakfast was excellent with a wide assortment, while garden dinner by candlelight was a treat with bonfires throughout- to note, the brownies with ice-cream was truly delicious. Service was impeccable. All in all - a most unusual stay.More

After visitng for a late lunch and evening tea; Iam of the firm opinion, Bala Samand Lake Palace is by far the best place to stay at Jodhpur. One should stay in property and enjoy the vast premises, with peacocks and langurs for company. Hotel...is restricted to in-house guests only. However, the restaurant is open to all. Food is above average. One can sity by the lawns and enjoy a great meal and/or coffee. The rooms adjoining the restaurants were stables for horses and have been converted to rooms. The "Kebab Korner" is another good place to enjoy dinner.More

Bal Samand is probably one of the best properties in Jodhpur! We reached late night due to some wrong directions from...you know who.....but the hotel staff was very helpful in guiding us correctly. The welcome was warm and homely. The dinner that night was in...the open and a barbeque! It was very very cold but enough campfires were kept near all tables. The cuisine was mainly Rajasthani, so the servers were being very hospitable in helping us decide the menu. It was a memorable dinner! We were out most of the next day sightseeing, so we did not explore the property. But on the day of checkout, we took their cycles, which are kept for guests, free upto an hour, and went around the property. Words cannot describe how beautiful the palace area is. The lake, next to which this resort is, is very serene and beautiful. The gardens and other areas are well kept and to add to it the birds, especially peacocks and parrots help in enhancing the experience. One must keep at least a day off from sightseeing to take the complete joy of staying in Bal Samand Palace!More

The lake is easily accessible, would NOT advise you to book lunch or dinner as it is overpriced and poor quality, rather you eat at khass Baug
