Quite a climb to the top rooftop part of the restaurant but worth it for the views. Nice service. Cold beer! The Lasl Maas is amazing- don't miss out on it!

If you want to have the best Laal Maas in the whole of Jhodpur this is the place. Infact even the veg food is spectacular and has a very homely taste. This place ticks every box. Great food, good view of Mehrangarh fort, the most...hospitable staff, and a chill vibe. The place is safe for solo women travellers as well. The owner and his family stay on the lower floors and the upper floors has the rooftop restaurant which are 2 levels. We visited in the eve. The weather was great as the winters are just setting in after Diwali. We ordered Laal Maas along with rice and chapati followed by Kadi pakoda. If you are a photo enthusiast then Dinesh ji is your man. He will make sure to click as many pics till you are satisfied or rather till he is satisfied 😁. Well it may seem funny the way he directs you to stand in the pics but trust me he knows what he is doing. Overall I had a fabulous experience. 😋More
Great views of the Mehrangarh Fort and the clock tower. Dinesh is very photographer and took lots of wonderful photos. +ve views and home made food. Dinesh keeps you busy. -ve No lift. only serve beer. hard to find
We had a very pleasant lunch with an amazing view of the fort in the beautiful terrace. The staff is very kind. The view is great. Food is amazing. Plus, they have beers!
Located near Toorji ka Jhalra, this rooftop restaurant offers an amazing view of the Mehrangarh Fort, especially at night when it is all lit up. I tried their Laal Maas with Bajre ki roti (their specialty) and it was pretty good and tasted similar to...a homemade meal, not excessively spicy as other restaurants in the neighbourhood. The staff is great and service is superb. They will even tell you a bit about the history of Jodhpur if you have time. Service : 5/5 Location : 10/5 Food : 5 A complimentary history lesson : 💯More
I am alright in 8 o'clock and I am had dinner in Gopal roof top restaurant there is a staff is very friendly and staff is 8recommend me for the especially lalmass and gulab jamun curry that is very dili sauce and beautiful view with...candle light dinnerMore
Four of us ended up with food poisoning, one so bad she had to be hospitalised resulting in cancelled flights and an extra night’s accommodation for the rest of us. So EXTREMELY BAD but… even disregarding that and being purely objective, it’s difficult to understand...the high level of hyperbole in so many of these gushingly positive reviews? Yes it has a great view of the fort but so does every other rooftop restaurant in Jodhpur… that’s the point. Yes the staff were friendly but no more or less than a dozen others. Very basic decor with little atmosphere. Not licensed beyond beer which was not cold and the food was nothing particularly special. The Laal Maas was tasty but not as good as two others that we had during our stay in Jodhpur, the vegetable curry which was probably the better dish, is ironically the one from which we got food poisoning. Those that had more were the ones that got the sickest. All in all I find it hard to reconcile these ‘awesome reviews with the experience and the food being offered. I think part of the problem is the Trip Advisor reviewers on a tight budget who have little if any experience of a quality dining experience. This was certainly NOT one!More
An early morning which other restaurants were close, we asked a local and he recommended this place. We ordered kimchi fried rice and chow mien. The meal was nice and the rooftop had a clear fort view. They also run a hotel business too.
Rooftop restaurant is peaceful oasis in busy market area. We went there for sunset, beers, and Rajasthani food - great place! Very friendly staff and family-run, we are so glad to have visited. They suggested we stop in a Toorji's Step Well just two blocks...away which was very worth a stop.More
It's really near from the main monuments of the Pink city.Food was very good and staff very welcoming.Having this food and a kingfisher while enjoying the sights of the fort is priceless.don't hesitate to go!
We were looking for a place to eat and Gopal has an amazing view of the fort and great food! The owner is a kind man and if I come back to Jodhpur I’d love to stay at his guest house.
Our local tour guide at The Fort recommended Gopal Rooftop Restaurant! We are SO Grateful. The Rooftop is Beautiful and offers Fabulous views of the fort, the blue city and the sunset! The FOOD was The BEST we have had in India. We are meat...eaters. We had the local dish Lal Maas- Mutton- It was Indescribably delicious! We also had the Local Curry Veg dish “Gulab Jamun”- unsweetened gulab jamuns in a rich cashew yogurt gravy…WOW! We also had Butter Chicken…and it, too, was Exceptional. We had Great service. Gorgeous Sunset. And an Unforgettable Meal!More
I would highly recommend this restaurant! I came here for dinner, which was so tasty and cheap. And to add to that the rooftop view of sunset is so beautiful. Such a variety on the menu too. Staff are so friendly also
Nothing very special only plus is the view from the roof top which I guess every roof top have same. Food quality was very poor we asked some veg rice and chicken curry can't even took one to second spoon also the served rice were...cold that hard to chew. Very disappointing for us.More
I went there with great expectation on food department. I ordered the famous lal Maas and gulab jamun sabji. I am from Kolkata, so have a distinct liking for both red meat and sweet. Lal Maas was well prepared, but not something to crave for...going from Kolkata. Gulab jamun sabji left me with a confused state - could neither enjoy taste of curry nor the gulab jamun. Was a bit disappointed after climbing three floors for lunch. Don't get me wrong - food was good on absolute scale, probably went with too high expectation. On the positive side, owner was very cordial and guided me how to reach there. With the Mehrangarh fort in the backdrop, view was great. Would suggest visiting for dinner with backlit fort.More
