We move like nomads and at every station we move out to check our taste buds. Heard a lot about this restaurant and tried authentic food.
Amazing. Will try once get a chance to come back to this city.
Went there guided by my hotel manager, was asked to wait for 20 mins and that their signature Rajasthani Thali was closed..Dismal, BUT when I waited and ordered Malai Gatta Combo..Was amazed at their quality, preparation and taste! Simply delicious...This is a gem of Jodhpur...and a must visit...10/10 for the taste !!More
One of the famous names in Jodhpur, the place serves really good quality of food. The menu is really vast and serves almost all cuisines. Fast food and pizza being the most frequently ordered dishes here. We tried the Paratha, Chole Bhature, Pizza and Pau...bhaji all of it being really good. Do note that the place often remains crowded during the weekends and it may get difficult to get a seating here.More
I am from Ahmedabad, but we have business in Jodhpur as well. So I visit jodhpur on frequent basis.
Gypsy restaurant’s food is one of the best quality food I have tasted in Jodhpur. Gujarati/Rajasthani thali of Gypsy is lipsmaking good, which they serve on...first floor. Their dish has different varieties from Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine.
On ground floor basically they serve fast food. When you are going home late from work and when you crave for some Chinese food or anything else this is the best place to go with. I have satisfied my late night hunger pangs many time at Fast food joint of Gypsy!!More
Order date - 14th April 2021.
My order was a Masala Dosa & Chhole Bhature for a take away. On reaching home when i tasted Masala Dosa, the MASALA was rotten (may be prepared 3-4 days ago). The management is taking the advantage of Curfew...times, it seems. Post 9pm we do not have any option left to order food from or do a take away.
Even the Bhatura's were so thick & hard to bite. I had to dump my complete order.
After a decade i planned to go to GYPSY restaurant and get a Take away done but my overall experience was very bad.
I would recommend, please do not go there as they take customer needs lightly and serve the poorest of the available things they have with them. I am into Hospitality industry. BASIC RULE of the industry - GUEST IS THE KING and he has to walk off the restaurant with a satisfied state of mind.
IT IS A BIG NO NO FROM MY SIDE. WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE IN FUTURE.More
Delicious Rajasthani vegetarian Thali. Worth visiting this restaurant. Value for money. Better to go early by 07:00 pm for dinner as the restaurant is crowded & has a Q lined up. Thali is available on the First floor of the restaurant.
We were visiting Jodhpur for the first time and were keen on trying a traditional Rajasthani Thali . We went there for lunch and were with two kids.
Kids took their lunch already from their shop below which serves fast food . When we entered...we ordered 3 thali as we were 3 adults . But the manager forced us to take 2 more thali for the kids.
We tried explaining to them that kids have already had lunch and would not eat anything and they can confirm from their shop below.but they were very rude . If you have kids in a new city you cannot leave them out . You have to make them sit with you. It was a very strange behaviour and spoiled our mood.
Rajasthan is known for their hospitality and ' Manuhar' but this left us in a very bad taste. Ultimately we paid for the kids and the food was wasted because kids cannot eat 32 items of a thali and that too traditional stuff which they are not used to in regular days .
Their thali is good .Taste is authentic but the waiters keep forgetting what needs to be served. They forgot to give us 3 snacks which was part of the thali. So please check items with the list they provide . And also they should introduce a traditional Rajasthani thali which has only dal-bati , ker sangri, churma , gatta curry ...we dont want to eat paneer, sindhi curry , dhokla , thepla which are not part of Rajasthani cuisine.More
