Food was good staff was also humble. Mr. Mool Singh and Mukesh singh were attentive to our needs. We ate veg thali and it was nice...me and my husband shared the thali bt we were given refill of food on request

Restaurant with world class standards

Kalinga is one of the oldest restaurant with latest world class standard of food whether it is non veg or veg. It's roasted chicken & handi meat are wonderful. Veg preparation like paneer khas kalinga & dal makhani are equally mouth watering. Enjoyed our dinner with friends.

Heavenly lal maas, delicious food!

We came here looking to experience the famed lal maas of Jodhpur. The lal maas was heavenly, soft meat and rich gravy, spicy but not unbearably hot. The other curries we had were delicious too. Would definitely recommend.

Extremely overrated

We were a group of 3 couples. We had the worst experience here. The food was really really below average. The service was poor, slow and arrogant. Everything we asked for seemed to be unavailable, which is still understandable given the pandemic situation. But the arrogance of the staff as well as the manager was too much to deal with. We had ordered a lot of food given that two among us were vegetarians and the rest of us were leaning towards non vegetarian food. Not one of the things ordered was up to the mark. We had even ordered alcohol. And the funniest part was they even charged us for the regular bar peanuts, which were supposed to be complementary. But given the rest of the experience, we shouldn't have been surprised by this petty thing. I really wish i could say otherwise, but I'm never visiting again. And I'd suggest the same to anyone who's reading this.

Kindly share a detailed experience of your dining with us on our email info@kalingahotel.com, along with details like date and time of your visit and the items you ordered. We are generally appreciated for the quality of food and service we offer, but it seems like you had a different experience. Coming on to the charging of roasted peanuts, they are mentioned as a chargeable item in our menu. We do not provide complimentary peanuts/offerings in the restaurant section but certainly do it in our Bar which is a separate section. We wish for your well being in these uncertain times, and hope you'd give us another chance to serve you better. Warm Regards

Very bad quality of lal mas and thali

We were told that Kalinga restaurant serve v good quality non veg and veg food We went to the restaurant at 1300 hrs on 17th Nov and really disappointed to see that the non veg Lal Mass is cold, poorly cooked and has the same gravy as paneer. We returned the dish and this time he added some big piece in the same gravy and cold roti. It was the worst experience and we discarded the whole food. The other order was Thali , practically punjabi style and cold parathas with no local touch. We threw the food as it was unpalatable. The manager was not apologetic about the quality neither bothered to charge appropriate and took the full money for the most useless food. We are staying at the Taj and never compromised on the quality, this was the worst and not worth the money we paid. We do not recommend this place who is interested in authentic non veg and veg meal.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. Our gravy for Lal Maans is nowhere near similar to Paneer or any other dish, and it is cooked in a chilly spicy gravy. As per the cold rotis, we apologise for the fact that the rotis were not replaced when you ordered for a change in Lal Maans. Regarding thali, the Rajasthani Thali consists of Chakki ki Subzi, Govind Gatta and Kadhi Pakoda, which are all our local delicacies. There is no element of a Punjabi dish in it. We are usually commended for the quality and taste of food we offer, but seems like you had a different experience. Kindly share your contact details in order to reach out personally to you. The "Kalinga" a Lovely hotel and very well located.

Very good family restaurant. The staff were so nice and helpful - The environment was exceedingly clean and well taken care of - The food was great - A great Location with wheelchair access, near the train station and airport and a bus stop. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely recommend it.

Neat & Clean, Cool, Attentive, Good menu, Large portions, good hygiene, Fast service, Loved the food, very tasty food. Affordable, pocket friendly, Good ambience, Strongly recommend for meals. This hotel and restaurant is located just 500 mtr Walking distance from jodhpur railway station. Mr. Raj Kumar is a best guy who is helping me and suggest me great meals to order and it's really amazing to experiencing it.... Thank you so much to all team.

Today me and my friend went to kalinga restaurant for dinner and order food. The food quality is very very bad had order some chicken curry and handi murg it was so terrible could eat more than a bite. They need to change the chef at the earliest. The service and ambiance is okay. Bill no 8171 date 2-9-24 one more thing we asked for feed back book at the desk they said they don't have it person so called ved or vaid.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your visit and experience details as it helps us investigate and analyse better. Upon inquiry from the staff and watching the CCTV footage of the visit, we were able to see that you had completed your meal fully as opposed to it being inedible, as mentioned by you. Had that been the case, there would have been no bill raised as we would not have charged anything to you for it. Had you mentioned it during your meal time, we would have happily replaced or removed it. We did have the batch of chicken and gravies checked, which were found to be in order. We regret the inconvenience caused regarding the unavailability of the feedback book, as a member of the staff had misplaced it and it could not be found in due time during your request. Rest assured, it is now kept in its due place. Warm Regards

A luncheon to remember

Had a great time with friends for lunch. Starters were very good, especially the fish tikka which was evenly cooked and extremely delicious. What followed was handi gost which was excellent with a variety of breads namely lachcha paratha, nan and missi roti. Overall a sumptuous experience topped by the generous service by Mr. Mool Singh, it can be branded as a perfect culinary affair. Thank you, hasta mañana.

Best location kalinga restaurant

No doubt it tops the list for places serving Laal Maas. It was absolutely delectable. The restaurant is located very near the Jodhpur Junction Railway station. The restaurant is super clean with a good dining area and great wash areas. The customer service is very pleasant and professional.

Great food, even better hospitality

Kalinga has been one of our go to places in Jodhpur since the early 2000's. During our current trip as well, we ensured to go there before we leave the city. Very good food, as always. Pretty good hospitality by Mool Singh. All in all, a recommended place.
