I can see why this place is top rated. As always we’re always a little sceptical when we go to the best restaurants in a specific location, but Dylan’s really was the place to go. It took us ages to find, as it was snuck away in a small side road but when we got there the owner welcomed us like family. We wanted to order a goat curry and his chef prepares it fresh, so he warned us it would take upwards of an hour. But honestly it was worth it, the curry sauce was the best I’ve ever had and the portions were large for a very reasonable price. We had a chai masala tea, a curry, 2 naans, rice and a Indian desert for only 600 rupees. Highly recommend.

Such a friendly rooftop restaurant with good food. The owner makes you feel very welcome. As the evening was chilly we were given blankets to make us more comfortable. Everything is freshly cooked so you have to wait for the mutton curry but it was delicious. Good pricing too

We came for dinner because it had good reviews here. The owner is very friendly and had no problem with our gluten-free diet and no-spicy taste. It is the first time in India they really offer us non-spicy food, so we really appreciated it. There is also a very nice view of the fort.
The next day we repeated and we got the same good experience. I completely recommen it.

Thank you for having made our evening in Jodhpur such an unforgettable experience. Our extremly kind, warm-hearted and generous host - who welcomed us with nice flower chains - cooked a personal, special mutton dish for us. A delight. We even had the honour of observing him in the kitchen. Merci beaucoup for your hospitaly and all the best!

Dylan Cafe is a great little cafe and guesthouse tucked away in Jodhpur. It has an amazing view of the Fort, a cosy and warm atmosphere, and an excellent owner!
Amir was very kind and hospitable, offering great conversation, tips on travelling India, and a lesson in making Masala Chai!
The food was great, and I enjoyed a goat curry, and an Indian Thali.
I'd definitely recommend Dylan Cafe.

This place has such a relaxed vibe they really do make you feel like you are at home. With options of sitting at a table by yourself or sitting on comfortable cushions on the ground at long tables with other customers. The place is small enough that you can share your stories with other customers. Nothing is too much trouble, if you are cold they will fetch you a blanket.
The food was absolutely amazing with not only the usual Indian dishes but some unique ones I have not seen before and importantly the naan bread was amazing.
I highly recommend a visit to this unique rooftop restaurant.

Things I loved:
1. Seating arrangement is very comfortable; quite laid back.
2. Quite close to fort, so the view is extraordinary
3. Owner is so polite and cheerful, he makes you feel at home
4. Food is moderately priced and the owner who is also the chef makes the food with so much love and affection.
I’d recommend the sandwiches, pizzas and biryani.
I didn’t stay there, just went to the cafe. But I had a look at the rooms and the attached bathroom; and they were quite neat and clean. (AC rooms)
P.s. The owner (Amin bro) has a cat and she is super cute.

Really nice food and great vibes. We had vegetable pakora and Rajasthani thali with paneer, dal and mixed veg curry- both were delicious! This place has incredible views of the fort both day and night and is a short walk from the clock tower. Amin is a great host and is always on hand to give you more food or chai. The cat Babu is also a cute addition. Highly recommend this place!!

I expected a noble, romantic tourist restaurant near the fort. Turned out to be a very chill and layed back backpackers destination. The host was very friendly and funny, spend the evening with us joking about nearly everything. Food was also very nice, local rajasthani and north indian dishes along with some continental food. If you want to have a good time, go there!

First of all its OPEN. We saw the name and it had closed written on it but we called and were greeted with a friendly voice asking us to come over and enjoy. And enjoy we did. Luckily it was a time when no other guest had come as we had dropped in really early for dinner. Salim and Hussain were courteous and told us things to try. Even though we were the only ones there for the majority of the time, they gave us our space and were prompt to answer our questions. Now, the location is quaint and overlooking the Mehrangarh Fort which is unfortunately not lit these days but Dylan cafe and the art work there, shows the love this place gets. The food was amazing and home-cooked feels tasty (if you know what I mean). If you are in Jodhpur and wish to meet lovely people who love to host, drop by Dylan.

I was the only one in the restaurant, no music or atmosphere (it was around 8pm) the lights weren't even on (i should've known from that!). The only thing related to Bob Dylan aside from the name was the front cover of the menu! Walking through the guesthouse to get to the rooftop restaurant, it looked rundown and unclean, i definitely wouldn't stay there. I wanted a break from Indian food so ordered mac n cheese. I think it was the most awful food I've ever put in my mouth!!! It was large pasta shells mixed with sugary ketchup and a sprinkling of cheese on top. I asked the waiter if there was ketchup in it as it tasted sweet, he said no. I couldn't eat it so got the bill - they kindly knocked off half the price cos I'd bearly touched it - then the 'chef' came over and said 'you didn't tell the waiter you don't like ketchup so we didn't know'. I guess i learned my lesson the hard way! No idea where the good reviews came from? Sounds like a different place to where i went!

The place is beautiful and cozy. The owner received me so well that I ended up playing UNO with him and other customers. By the end of the night, he offered me a free ride to my hostel and gave me a wattler bottle. I loved the food and our conversation. Thank you!

Dylan's Cafe is located in the historic center of Jodhpur with an incredible view of the Fort, very impressive at night. The owner is legendary, he welcomed us as his family: his policy is to pamper the customer to make him leave with a smile. In addition to being the manager of the place, he is also a perfect chef and delighted us with his traditional Rajasthani cuisine. His Chicken Curry is world class! Definitely worth a visit.

Enjoyed several visits over the last few years to the rooftop restaurant with good food and views. Salim looks after his guests well and there is friendly "backpacker style" atmosphere and attractive decor. Most people choose to eat on the roof resting on mats and cushions from low tables. Check the location before you set off as it is on a side path.

The place has been going strong since 6 years and has beautiful ambience providing a perfect rooftop restuarant that has a good view better than other restuarants and having a good variety of foods with affordable prices i don't usually order food at the hotel , here my dinner and breakfast was sorted.
Has a good view compared to other restuarants.
The staff are extremely friendly and will help you with anything.
