My pick for the...best middle eastern restaurant in Pune !!More
best lebanese food in pune. I have tried all the places. I love the shawarma ordered online many time. Try mushroomish for vegetarian . Totally worth for money. Not gonna disappointed eating here. Do explore it...
Few days back i was out with my family for a trip to pune and i visited this amazing place.
The ambience is good. They have good interior and vibes at the cafe.
The staff is very prompt and polite. And the service is also...good.
The food was amazing. That was very well cooked and presented to us. we had Greek salad, hummus platter with zaatar bread and ultimate falafel. In mains we had a mint paneer with rice. Being vegetarian we were skeptical thinking mostly nonveg in an Arabic food cafe but were very happy. Even mom dad enjoyed :)More
fattoush salad and zaatar chicken salad, baklava is excellent. Hanging lights in the evening add to the charm of this place. It is a sweet spot in Salunkhe Vihar with so many new places here this definitely stands out.
Brief about SOUK- A must visit place if you are a Lebanese food lover. Cuisine which they are serving is really untouched in india or can say very few can make it perfect. I enjoyed my dinner and now as it was my 3rd visit...here, can easily be said one of my most favourite restaurants in pune. They got branches in pune so you can check the nearest one and enjoy the Lebanese food. Strongly recommend this restaurant.
Location- Salunke vihar road/ wanworie can be easily said to be one of the most famous area or happening place of pune in recent time. (4.5/5)
Theme- This restaurant is really very famous for the Arabic/Lebanese, must say specialised in it. There are very few restaurants in India who served really authentic and perfect Lebanese food and certainly souk is one of them. (5/5)
Ambience- Open air restaurants in pune does well as the weather of the city helps them, especially in winters. Restaurant has good seating area in which you can enjoy fresh air and really pleasant positive atmosphere with your group. Lighting and the seating (Benches which they have used) has made the difference. Fresh breeze, excellent food and surrounded with positivity is what you crave for after a tiring day. (4.5/5)
Food- As far as I know, India has very few authentic/ specialised Lebanese serving restaurants. This was the third time I visited to this restaurant and the only reason is the food they served me last two times, it was really excellent and can be easily said yes they are specialist in it. Portions of the dishes are too generous for the money they charging. Some of the others who call themselves as specialised, they should learn from Souk. Dishes which were served had distinguish taste. Each category of them is like a must try. (5/5)
• CHICKEN SHAWARMA- Coming to Lebanese restaurant and not trying their shawarma is crime isn’t it? Tried chicken version which was wrapped in pitta bread, filling had hummus, tahini, pickles, sliced chicken breast and lettuce. Enjoyed the soft and delicious shawarma. (5/5)
• CHICKEN HARISSA SKEWERS- Chicken thighs marinated in coarse mix of Harissa(Little spicy) mix and then grilled to perfection. 5 skewers serves with side salad and a dip, certainly chicken was really juicy and 5 numbers of skewers were too generous for on portion. Balanced flavours gave that wow factor.(5/5)
• SPICED MINCE LAMB PIDE- A Turkish flat bread topped with curried mutton mince, sunny side up fried egg and lots of parsley to give a herbed touch. The portion/size of it was really impressive. Mutton mince/kheema which was w=cooked had such a amazing and well balanced flavours, can say must order dish of them.(5/5)
• KAKLAVA WISH ICE CREAM- A must order dessert at Lebanese restaurant. Freshly baked baklawa crown with warm centre filled nuts topped with ice cream and drizzle of caramel sauce.(4.5/5)More
Kondhwa has found a gem in Arabic food. Although there are many places in this side of town none really stood out in connection to taste and price and quality and service and all together. Good Arabic food and top service music ambience and all.
Very often I crossed this place and was interested to go in. Yesterday went with the family and all really enjoyed the hummus shawarma and falafel. I Remembered my days of dubai. Will definitely visit again and recommend to all.
