Nice place to spend evening . If you are in Pune don’t forget to try their chicken clear soup and grilled lamb with mushroom sauce and mashed potato , food was lovely but mashed potato and rice was pathetic as it was not up to the mark .... taste less , rest everything was perfect .

Mad House Grill continues it's tradition of homestyle, unique and curated food options with a casual dining experience. It's easy-breezy, dependably good and fun. Much like the owner Mayuri.

I had visited this place, nearly eight years ago, and I recently visited again. Years ago, the place did not disappoint me, and neither does it now especially for its food. This place is famous for steak food. The atmosphere is really neat and tidy. It is a modest little place with clean, orderly, and unique decor compared to most other places of these days. We visited this place in the afternoon, and looks like no one visits this place for lunch. We ordered Peri Peri Grilled Chicken which was spicy and comes along with mash and veggies. It was very tastyband came with extra sauce on the side. We also got grilled chicken in mushroom sauce, which was delicious and has become my personal favourite. It comes with mash, vegetables, and two small slices of garlic bread. Each dish has almost two perfectly cooked and delicious chicken pieces. It's a great place for a romantic dinner. The service was upto the mark. I would suggest everyone to try their fresh lime soda mix (sweet and salty) perfectly made. The pricing here is a bit expensive. All the best team

Very nice place with cool ambience. The steaks were the best we had re ently, specially at the Koregaon Park area. Over all the food was great, more like home made. The staff were also gery ki d and made you feel comfortable. Best place for steak lovers, and chilled beer.

The iconic Mad House Grill not only boasts of being the oldest steak house in Pune dishing out delectable meats, it is equally popular amongst the vegetarians for the sheer variety of dishes. Setup like a typical American grill and diner, Mad House Grill is bifurcated into two seating options – an alfresco area for large groups and a more homely AC seating inside for couples or families. Warm and welcoming ambiance with soft lighting instantly puts you at ease. Mad House Grill hosted a wonderful Christmas dinner in collaboration with Moonshine Meadery, India's and Asia's first Meadery, pairing some of their popular and experimental meads with classic dishes from Mad House. Moonshine Meads Meads are traditionally made by fermenting honey with various fruits and spices and is the world's oldest alcoholic beverage. The Traditional Mead is all about fermenting honey, honey and honey. Made using ajwain honey, orange blossom honey and wildflower honey, this mead is their signature mead. The Apple Cyder, along with the Traditional Mead, is their best-selling bottled mead. Personally not its biggest fan, though. Apart from the staple bottled meads, we also were offered some of their experimental meads from the Moonshine Labs. The Guava Chili had a lovely hit of the chili going down the throat while the flavor of the fruit was all-pervasive. The Smoked Mead was smoked in a traditional way with bacon flavor which lifted the drink to another level altogether. The Salted Kokum was another hit at the table. The tartness of kokum and the hint of ginger was just the right drink for the winters. And finally we laid our hands on the Christmas special mead – the Christmas Apple Pie Mead. Our first pour was from the tap and it wasn’t too impressive, to be honest. The temperature at which it was poured and served, did not let the flavors of the apple pie shine through so the cinnamon felt all-too overpowering. On suggestion from the Moonshine guy, Saneet – we tried the bottled version which was just perfect. Served at a slightly higher temperature, the drink allowed all the flavors to play on your tongue. An absolute winner, this. Mad House Grill Coming to the food, we were served some of their classic dishes that paired well with the meads. It was, after all, a pairing dinner. 😊 The Hummus and Pita Bread is an extremely popular dish at MHG. The hummus was aptly creamy and the pita bread was soft enough to be used to wipe the plate clean. It was a perfect pair with the Moonshine Apple Cyder. The tartness of the Cyder complemented the creaminess of the hummus to attain a perfect balance. The Veg Platter had a strong cheesy and earthy overtone to it and paired very well with the Traditional Mead, while the Non Veg Platter, full of seafood and meat, was complemented by the experimental Salted Kokum Mead as well as the season special Christmas Apple Pie Mead. The tartness of both meads helped cut through the richness of the meats. In mains, we tried the Steak in Wasabi and Kikkoman Soy. On personal request, the buff steak was served medium done instead of the typical medium-rare as I was not sure of my appetite for undercooked meats. 😊 The wasabi sauce used was as potent as possible so just a small squiggle was sufficient to experience explosions in your mouth [and nasal cavity too]. The pungent heat of the wasabi aided the succulent piece of steak cooked to perfection. A side of silken smooth mashed potatoes provided some much-needed relief. Paired with this was the Coffee Mead which was another winner in my opinion. The richness of the meat was supplemented by the acidic texture of the coffee in the mead. The food at the iconic Mad House Grill is nothing short of chaotic brilliance and the pairing with Moonshine Meads lends a wonderful order to the chaos.

I loved the place so much that I went back the next day. The ever smiling Namrata welcomes you to a quaint little place. I ordered Steak Salt and Pepper. I just loved it. I like it medium rare. It was perfectly done and so succulent. I enjoyed the steak so much that I went back the next day for the same thing. And even topped it with a fried egg. I am sure that the other food on the menu is equally fabulous and I hope the next time I can look beyond the steak. 😬

We wanted to go for dinner to a place you don't have to dress up for, and where you get a good steak. We were pointed towards Mad House Grill. Experience has taught me not to judge a book by its cover, and I'm glad I didn't. The decor has definitely seen better days, and the place was empty but for one occupied table downstairs, and a few persons upstairs. That did ring a few alarm bells for me, but we decided to stay on nevertheless. And I'm glad I did. What immediately caught my eye was a leaflet advertising their latest offering --- Moonshine Meade. I have been wishing to try meade for a while now, and I was quite happy that the opportunity had presented itself. I opted for Coffee Meade, and I enjoyed it. Very much. I like beer, I like coffee, but you wouldn't expect the two to pair well, but surprisingly enough they do! And the chilled meade was just the right accompaniment for the steak. We chose Super Steak Mozzarella and the Mix Grill Platter that comes with any two sauces of your choice. The taste of both the dishes, and the mash that comes with them was very good indeed. The Pepper Sauce and the Honey Mustard Sauce were also very good. But I did not enjoy the soggy salad, and the beef steak though tastily prepared was rather stringy. But for the latter I don't think I can place the onus of responsibility entirely upon the establishment, because I know how difficult (and how expensive) it is to source a really good steak either in Mumbai or Pune these days. The service given to us by Ahmed was exemplary ... smiling, polite, quick, efficient. He realised that the loud music was bothering us, and without having to be requested, he turned it down to a comfortable volume. How sensitive to a patron's need! All in all, for the price we paid (the steaks are priced very competitively between Rs 450 and Rs 650), we had a very enjoyable meal, and the poor turnout at the restaurant worked in our favour, as we were able to enjoy free flowing conversation and a 'chilled' atmosphere.

Was so unimpressed with the food here. Was really looking forward to having a nice steak (and since they claim to be the steak place) we really wanted to give them a try. We ordered the garlic mushrooms as a starter... Well dumping a whole lot of bechamel sauce on sauteed mushrooms without any or the slightest hint of mushrooms don't make them garlic mushrooms. For mains we orders one chicken with a side of rice and grilled potatoes and one steak with a creamy sauce and a side of grilled potatoes and mixed vegetables. So as usual when you order a steak they will check with you as to how you would like it... I like mine medium... But when I got the steak... It must have been about a centimetre thick... So hopes for a medium went right out the window... Not to mention the size of the steak was ridiculous and the sauce... suprise suprise I got the same sauce that was on the mushrooms, but with a few slivers of onions thrown in. Now here's where I got really annoyed... When u say mixed vegetables make sure you give me mixed vegetables... And not two pieces of cauliflower with 6-7 greenpeas thrown in for luck and the rest a order of just carrot bits!!! And we had also ordered an extra side of sauteed vegetables and it was the same story! I understand the vegetables are a little expensive at the moment, but considering your rates I'm sure you can afford to do mixed vegetables right!!! The chicken was so blah and nothing to write home about. On the whole I just couldn't wait to get out of there. Not worth the bill we paid and wouldn't go back. There are a whole bunch of super places to get a real good steak in Pune and i think you guys need to seriously look at your quality... But considering there were only three tables occupied...with one server... I'm guessing the word is already out there and you guys don't seem to be doing anything about it. PS I almost forgot about that horrible piece of bread... It was the bottom part of a day or two day old hotdog roll grilled and God awfull, just couldn't eat it!

Taken to this restaurant by a friend from Pune. It was a good recommendation and enjoyed my visit. I would never have been able to find this place. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The selection of food covered meat and vegetarian lovers. For the meat lovers they have a great selection of different steak dishes, which I guess you would expect from the name of the restaurant. Naturally, I went there for a steak and a beer. The was like an Indian variation of a Hoegaarden, but a sweeter taste. I opted for the “Double Decker Steak”. It was cooked medium and came with a garnish of thinly sliced carrots, cauliflower florets, and toasted baguette. The steak itself sat on a bed of blue cheese and rested in a brown peppery and spicy sauce. I found it to my taste and really enjoyed the flavours. The beer really did compliment the steak. The dessert selection was short, but the German Chocolate was delicious and went very well with the coffee. Mission accomplished. The bill at the end worked out at about €30 per head which was good considering how many drinks we had.

It is a quaint, small restaurant with friendly staff. Seating is in the open as well indoors and on a mezzanine floor as well. The toilet however is only on the mezzanine floor, which was a problem for my 85 year old mother in law (senior citizens need a conveniently located toilet the most). The food was good. However, the menu card had 2 whole pages of choices which were not available - why not reprint a current menu card instead of persevering with one where items are not available? The tablecloth looked old and like it had seen better days. The bill is handwritten and ours had errors in it. The restaurant has a GST number displayed on its walls but not in the bill, though GST is charged as is service charge! Somethign not quite right!

We went to this place because some food site recommended it. But sorry to say... Food quality average, food quantity terribly less for the rates, we had booked on telephone our reservation for seats as we had an infant with us, but when we reached they refused saying no reservations were made. We were asked to wait for ten minutes which took thirty minutes instead. We would never go back to this place not recommend it to others.

The place serves awesome meat dishes but they have really poor offerings for your vegetarian friends. So, if your group has some strict vegetarians, don't go here!
