For many breakfasts and dinners we enjoyed the gorgeous view from the restaurant. The portions are great for a very raisonnable price. The staff is fast, efficient and friendly. We had the best tasty seafood platter many times and have not been disappointed. We warmly recommend this lovely place.

Great food and very friendly Tibetan staff. 'Mr Hat' who welcomes people in from the street does a great job! Good view from upstairs over the beach.

Last year on our visit to Varkala the Seasun was our favourite place to eat however this year we found that the standard had not been maintained. Service was poor and the food not up to standard of last year.One good thing about the Seasun which has not changed is the view from upstairs over the the holy beach.

SEASUN IN VDM is so disgusting, so slow, then for take out,no utensils to provide, saying, they are just 2 days open, but supposedly , prepared in everything, right??how will u eat your food without spoon and fork , if that s take away, not sure if the owner knows bout it

By the south beach and on the beach. Finally relented to their requests to visit. Seafood focus but also lots of vegetarian dishes. Good atmosphere towards evening.

I had my first meal in Kerala last night.
I ordered Marlin with prawns.
The fish cut fresh from the display.
The meal was everything I hoped for.
I will be back.

Good food with great views of the beach.
It is located right in the junction when you enter Varkala beach. The rates were quite reasonable for a beachfront restaurant. We were quite happy with the portion sizes as well.

Great little cafe....the food is awesome and they serve the Ice Tea (beer) in a teapot very well chilled. The staff are all great and very helpful ...used it many times while at Papanasam for a couple of weeks..

It’s not a classical restaurant - more a small Café with some food. Tasty sandwiches, sweet pancakes, eggs any style, etc. - all prepared and served in healthy and eco-style way.
It is mainly visited by people who are here on a longtime stay. So there is lot of insider-information available.
A multilingual bookstore and a store for spices and herbs is attached.
And - not to forget - real good coffee - so go for it!

Seasun offers you nice food, and a nice view on Papanasam beach. The staff is very friendly, helpful and the cook accepts also some Menue-changes if you have your own idea what you want to eat. I am several times having my breakfast, lunch or dinner here.

My third season in Varkala and yet again I found myself gravitating to this great little friendly café situated at the south end of the beach. Great delicious freshly prepared dishes at an reasonable price. Very friendly staff, good service and an all round positive experience with sea views. Do yourselves a favour, ditch the overpriced north cliff Disney Land with those inflated prices and chill out without disappointment at the Sea Sun Cafe 😎
