I totally recommend coming here. Me and my friends visited Green Pepper almost every day during our 28-day-stay in Varkala, having our Chai-Break from Yoga School. I never had food, but heard from other people that the food is also very good. Also very reasonably priced and very nice views

Awesome Food

Awesome food and stay provided have a very nice beach view and access. The calmness of the sea and sea breeze in the evening is very admirable.

Stumbled across this place on our visit to Varkala and had a great meal. Really friendly staff, fresh home cooked food, and situated above the beach with crashing waves below. Away from the crowds of the North cliff. A great place if you want to get away from it all.

Amazing Sunset View and Delicious Dinner

We enjoyed our time at Green Pepper Guest House and restaurant so much we extended our 3 day booking to 15 days! The situation on Varkalas south cliff is peaceful and spectacular, Nisha is a very welcoming host and the food is delicious. We loved it!

Amazing Indian veggie options with a twist

Some of the best food I've ever had. The pumpkin rajma was incredible. Lots of slight variations or things you don't normally see on menu and everything is veggie / vegan. Staff were really friendly and views are great!

Great view across the sea and excellent tasting food

Very recommendable. We had been there for two following days, since we enjoyed the location, the view, the perfect service and the excellent sea food. First day we ordered fish in the afternoon (he showed us), we ordered immediadtely for the eavening, this is recommendable since the fish is dependent on the availability in the eavening. The second day they had live music and fish BBQ offering a 150 cm Marlin and other seafood.

Favorite Spot in Varkala!

First of all - the food is incredible! Also you have a amazing view from the cliffs over the arabic sea. The people are extremly friendly and helpful. Prices in average lower than most places at Varkala northcliff - highly recommend!

Wonderful ambiance

On a cliff overlooking the ocean, this lovely outdoor restaurant offers great sunset dining , friendly service and good food, as well as beer and cocktails ( if ingredients are available)

Location to please your eyes and excellent food to fill your belly

Green Pepper offers a relaxing setting, away from the hustle of the north cliff, contoured of greenery and with a nice view over the ocean. We stopped for lunch and their covered veranda offered a cool sitting area in a very hot day. The chicken biryani was the best we had in 6 weeks in India. We also had the okra fry which was deliciously crispy. Unfortunately they did not have our favourite desert, Hello to the queen, as the ice cream had melted :) We would come back without hesitation.

Good Food but Over priced

In south cliff this is the best place to have food, but the rates are on higher side with quantity less. Since you are tourist and looking for food these things don;t matter. I suggest to management to provide sufficient quantity of food at-least if you charge more. Overall good concept and good tasty food.

Beautiful spot to watch sun set

Friendly staff. Food is good, but the view is spectacular, especially sun set time. It's unblocked view of the beach and the sun makes it perfect spot to enjoy the early evening.
