A perfect ‘find’ for the discerning traveller, Kashi is a casual café, yet aesthetically gorgeous and welcomingly super yummy! Indian colonial-retro-minimalism with a sheltered outdoor-indoor vibe is the ambience you discover once you enter the space from the art gallery just off the street. For vegetarian and vegan travellers yearning for rawness with Indian flavours, this menu will make you feel right at home: the food was delicious! The staff were pleasant and kind and Edgar Pinto, the owner is an elegant and watchful presence ready for a quick chat and interesting advise about his neighbourhood. Another great tip is his second property, the beautiful Old Harbor Hotel right down the street from Kashi, where we spent a magical evening having dinner in the garden listening to live classical Indian music.

Walking through a backstreet alley, one can't imagine there can be a good place nested amongst it. Kashi art cafe is good for it's ambiance, vibes and a wide range of reading material on art and culture on offering. One can spend time enjoying a good book along with a coffee. I am an Indian vegetarian and not particularly like vegan food,so I found the menu to be less appealing. But for vegans and sea food lovers, this place is a heaven with dozens of choices.
This place is very famous among foreign tourists but I personally found it overhyped. For the waiting time to get myself a table, I don't think I liked the food that much. But yes, when in Fort Kochi, do go there and pay it a visit to experience it.

Such a good find just away from the Chinese fishing net area and awfully annoying and persistent traders.
We came here 3 times in two days!
Beautiful serene ambience created with tasteful sculptures and art work.
Good coffee, Chai tea and toasted sandwiches. Not forgetting the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted. Usually I avoid them because of dryness but this was magnificently moist served with a perfect sauce.
The Ayurvedic lemonade is worth a mention too.
We went so keen on the cinnamon bread, which was far to dry for my taste and the very hard potato crisps.
Some reviews mentioned so so service but we found everyone really helpful and friendly.

A beautiful cafe with a small art gallery.
As you proceed further, a lovely seating area with cement seats, pebbled floor, stone tables, climbers, plants around awaits you.
It's got a lovely wibe.
They have high wooden tabes with chair further inside.
They serve vegan, healthy, non Vegetarian and vegetarian meals and snacks.
The menu for Vegetarian isn't elaborate but a few dishes are really good.
I tried the hummus with garlic toast and an aubergine lasagna. Both were delicious.
Flavorful, non Spicy, well balanced!
A must visit cafe.

3 yrs on since my last visit and Kashi retains cachet. Delicious chickpeas with garlic toast . The green juice was served either in a warm glass ( newly washed) or left standing before serving . A few ice cubes (requested ) made for a cool and chilled out snack in this arts cafe .

The drinks are to die for, best ginger tea I had in my life. A bit disappointed with what they call “espresso” it’s made using an Italian mocha and not an espresso machine, although it’s good but not excellent.
Food is good and tasty but some portions are ridicolously small (4 micro broccoli samosas for 230).
Many many vegan options including cakes!
By the way is a must to visit.

I was told that this was an iconic place and not to be missed. I am normally wary of such recco since one gets disappointed when you realize that this hype.
The place is in a small side street in courtyard behind a corridor behind an art cafe. Quite tastefully done. Hint: Select the inner courtyard since it is very green and gives you a feeling of a garden. The corridor is a bit noisy and does not have the same character.
Menu is not all that varied but there is sufficient cafe type food. Mocktail were certainly good.
Food is okay and service very fast.
Desert seems to be hit and miss. The chicklate cake was very very dry and huge with lots of sauce. Gave indigestion.
recco: go there if you have time

Came here because of all the amazing reviews. Spent almost 1000r and left just as hungry as we arrived. The smoothy bowls were tiny, maybe 300 calories, nowhere near enough food for an adult. The pot of coffee was also only enough for one cup. We complained twice and they just smiled and did nothing about it. We asked if they could fill our water bottle and even that met with a bad attitude. Would never come back

This well-known restaurant has a stream of customers coming to eat. Many are foreigners relieved to get back to familiar food presented in healthy manifestations. And there are curious Indians and a host of art lovers. Juices are good, so are the main dishes. Well worth a visit.

We dropped in at Kashi Cafe during a walking tour of Fort Kochi. It was a relief to get away from the heat and humidity. We helped ourselves to Iced cold coffee with coconut milk and it was a great thirst quencher.

I went alone for lunch here, based on its reputation. I didn’t mind the wait for a table (only about 15 mins), but once seated I waited 10 minutes for a menu. The place was extremely busy and the staff seemed a little overwhelmed. But after ordering I waited over half an hour for a cold drink and salad - really nothing complicated! I have a feeling my order was forgotten somehow. The meal itself was very good ( roast beetroot and walnut salad) but took a star off for service.

We went on a Saturday night for a laid back dinner and it wasn’t crazy busy, the ambience was great (international, lounge music, artsy, casual). The food was surprisingly very good. We had a chicken dish with potatoes and carrots with couscous in gravy and 2 frappuccinos for $12 US. Highly recommend and centrally located.

The minute you step in, the interiors and decor of Kashi Art Cafe take your breath away. Artistic, warm and cozy, Kashi Art Cafe invites you in with a warm welcome. But what actually makes this place so great are its people - be it the Manager Sujith, who will go out of his way to ensure all your needs are met and more, or Chef, who will serve some amazing delicacies with a side of great conversation! The food here is absolutely delectable and will satiate both, your tummy and your soul. The ingredients are fresh and the flavours pop, making the overall experience outstanding. I have visited Kashi Art Cafe multiple times during my stya at Fort Kochi and cannot wait to go back. Would definitely recommend trying everything on the menu but especially the chocolate mud cake!

Attached to the Kashi Art Gallery, this is a simple but interesting place to have a drink and a light meal. It is also very good value. It was very busy when we visited for a light lunch but we managed to get a table. Buzzy, with a good atmosphere.

Had to wait for a table, but that was fine. Very disappointing cold coffee - in fact worst one in India so far. Our food arrived at different times, so in essence ended up eating alone - never good and staff not so friendly. Food was delicious and the general vibe of the place is lovely, so they kind of got away with it!
