Very authentic. On a small roof terrace. Food and service was great and very cheap. We had pea and cashew curry, aloo gobi, bread and rice. Delicious...and just the right amount of spice.

Wonderful vegetarian dishes. Welcoming to solo travellers. A fan whirring to give a welcome breeze. Sweet staff and Mary, the cook, is fantastic. Wildly good value so it's easy to give a generous tip! I will not look any further on my next stay in...Kochi.More
We came across the restaurant through TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. You sit on a roof terrace with lots of fairy lights. The menu is small, but it's easy to find something. You can specify the degree of spiciness when ordering. The food arrived quickly...and was quite tasty. We had the pea and cashew curry and the pumpkin curry. Served with lemon rice and garlic naan. With drinks, the two of us didn't pay 900 rupees. If you're looking for classic Indian food, you've definitely come to the right place!More
The location is nice, with is a cosy terrace. The food is good and fresh, maybe my only critic is that it is adapted to western palates, and most people there are tourists. But if you want to have a break with less spicy food,...that's the place to go.More
Food and service were over our expectations. The best. It was the only restaurant in India, where we ate 2 times. Also home made drinks were fantastic - lemon ginger mint soda was the winner for us.
We have been in Kochi for just two days and Mary's Kitchen has been one of our favourite spots. The food is delicious, made with care and love; on top of that the hosts, a lovely couple, are genuinely kind and welcoming, making the overall...experience truly unforgettable. If you're a food enthusiast like us, there is the possibility to have an "Indian Dishes Cooking Lesson" which is eye opening. The colours of the spices, the "familiar" kitchen and the simplicity of the dishes make it a treasure worth having in your Experience Chest.More
Mary’s Kitchen is the epitome of the Indian dining experience. A family run joint serving a variety of freshly prepared dishes, accompanied by its great ambience (especially during lunchtime hours). We also enrolled on the cooking class with Mary herself, in her rustic and authentic...kitchen, preparing an array of cuisine which we couldn’t resist to tuck into afterwards. Couldn’t recommend both the dining in and cooking class experience more. Far better than some of the other highly recommended joints in the area, that’s for sure. 10/10More
The reviews don’t lie, this place is a gem! Mary’s kitchen is a family run restaurant, so expect delicious food made with love. We came for lunch and had a delicious meal which made us come back 2 days later to do the cooking class...- couldn’t recommend this class enough! Mary teaches you how to cook 5 dishes which you then get to eat once finished. If you have time, and want to learn how to cook some delicious dishes with a lovely host - come to Mary’s kitchen! Or, just come for the delicious food on a rooftop!More
Not too many words. Wonderful and a superb gastronomic delight. Get here pronto. Thank you for a memorable evening.
Been coming here for years. My favourite indian restaurant in the Fort. First time back since 2020 and they remembered me!!!!!! And they remembered that that I like very very spicy food. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Unpretentious and comfortable. And best...of all STILL making great foodMore
Little roof top restaurant with just a few tables. Great choice for vegetarian and curries were delicious with just the right level of spices. Brilliant spot to watch the world go by below. Service was good and we didn’t have to wait that long for...our food. Owner was super friendly too.More
Wonderful home cooked food . Fish and vegetables of the freshest quality. Definitely giving the taste of Kerala. Would request to add beef and pork options to the menu
Tripadvisor recommended Mary’s kitchen and we landed up. A small clean unassuming place. A limited menu but everything freshly cooked and delicious. What a meal!! Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for tasty and uncomplicated food.
Roof top restaurant, arrived just after 7pm and it was a little busy with customers arriving at the same time. Everyone did get a seat, but there was a little wait to be served. Menu is lovely and simple and food was obviously freshly cooked....I really enjoyed my prawn mango curry, plain rice , cucumber salad and chapati. Along with Fresh lime soda. We both thought the meal was reasonably priced.More
We went of an evening it’s busy place perched above the road. The food was pretty good and the service the same. The cost was about 1000 rp for 2 including drinks. We found it busy between 7 and 8.30
