The restaurant offers various cuisine .. We had North Indian food and it was good.. Would recommend this place.. Good for families too..

There is no complaint from the food side. Everything taste ok. Things I didn't like are they are accepting only cash. No digital currency. Service is also below par. They don't understand what to serve when. The buttermilk we ordered with main course came when we were done with the dinner. Also they have weird rule about timing. They have strict timing related to serving food. Even though you are on the table and you want 2 more rotis you won't be served. The reason is it's 3:15pm. And they won't serve north Indian after 3:15pm. It would be better if they won't let customer in when time doesn't permit. We had to manage eating curry with jira rice. I had lunch (first day), dinner and breakfast. Again no complaint from food taste.

My friends and I went here for lunch, even though it was crowded. We were willing to wait, so we asked the manager if he could help us find seats. He brushed us off, telling us to sit wherever we found a spot. After waiting 45 minutes, we finally found a table and were about to sit when the manager came over and, in an extremely rude manner, told us to get up because the table was "for six people." He didn’t care that we’d been waiting patiently, and he made us get off the seats without a hint of respect—even though we’re locals. His attitude was so appalling that we ended up leaving. This was, without question, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The manager was incredibly disrespectful, and it’s shocking that the owner keeps someone so unprofessional in charge. If you want great food and respectful service, go to Mayura instead—their staff treats customers right. This isn’t just some competitor review; it’s my honest experience. Avoid Vishnu Delicacy at all costs. Don’t waste your time, money, or patience on this place.

We went there for dinner and morning breakfast, both the times its was full of rush. This a one man show a guy around 40+ who limps a bit takes the order does amazing task of managing the customers expectations and delivering good food and service.

We stayed in Chikmagalur for two days and we had food there four times. Yes four times in two days of span! I would say, it is the best hotel if you are vegetarian. Price is also reasonable.

Good option for Veg food

Just off the Indira Gandhi road, this was very close to the Maharaj Inn where we stayed. Visited for Dinner and for breakfast the next day. Food is good. Place was very crowded during dinner time and service was slow. Reasonably priced.

No food without garlic or onion

Seeing the name, we thought that this place will have enough items without garlic or onion. We were very disappointed that there were none available. The place is extremely busy and one would have to wait for more than 20 minutes to be seated. Even then, it is a mad rush and survival of the fittest. While table cleaning is ok, a lot of food gets spilt on the ground which is not cleaned.

Food is ok.Opens up by 7am.They are NOT customer friendly.The senior staff Mr.Manohar Kamat who manages order, is very rude and arrogant.There is NO patience to take orders and answer any queries. He never has the patience to listen to queries of guests. Being in hospitality sector,totally not customer friendly. We ordered for vada requesting it to be served hot,and when it was served hard and cool,when asked why it is not hot, they coolly replied,vada is like that, whether you want it or not. Bislbellah bath was also served cool and when we requested it to be hot,they neither offered any apology nor bothered to replace.We finally cancelled the order. Even when asking for a extra cup of sambar, they show faces as if they are going to down the shutters due to the loss incurred by an extra cup of sambar. I would appreciate the management takes note of these issues and ensures the customer/guests are treated appropriately.I strongly would never recommend this restaurant,eventhough their food is good overall, due to the rude attitude of their staff.

For travellers from Karnataka, this is the best place for Sagar style food i.e. vegetarian. For all others it is one of the only decent vegetarian restaurant in that stretch of Chikmagalur. Hence anytime in the evenings, it is always crowded. The south & north thali are also sumptuous if you are not going ala-carte. Service is quick and food is fresh. North India selection is very good and South Indian is no nonsense. Only aspect they can improve is other forms of payment (card, paytm, etc).

It's one of the best hotel for food in the city. Breakfast taste is good. Coffee is the best in the whole chikmagalore. The charge is also cheap. North and South Indian meals also available here.
