This is an excellent place if you are with a small group. It has excellent food with very trendy surroundings. Just be careful that this place is very popular and hence getting table is a challenge. Book well in advance if you are in group....If you can go for early lunch or late lunch or early dinner, then there isnt much problem in getting table.More

Probably the most popular restaurant in Leh. The outdoor sitting is lovely.. Extremely crowded with waiting. The local food is great. The staff is busy but receptive. The inside sitting isn't as nice as outside so do wait to get a table outside. The range...of momos is great. Definitely a must visit restaurant in LehMore

The restaurant holds a high rating on TripAdvisor, making it a popular choice among visitors. Its convenient location near the main market in Leh ensures easy accessibility, and even local drivers are familiar with the restaurant. It seems to be a favorite among group travelers,...often attracting them for lunch. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, accommodating various preferences. The food is not only delicious but also accompanied by humble and attentive staff. However, it's worth noting that, due to the heavy crowd, there might be some delays in receiving orders at your table. Despite this, the thukpa, in particular, stands out as a highly recommended and enjoyable dish. Overall, the restaurant seems to offer a delightful dining experience with its combination of good food, convenient location, and welcoming atmosphere.More

Very unresponsive service from the restaurent. This place is surviving as wayside restaurent. Chicken is heavily frozen and old. People hear don't understand anything. They don't serve when asked to serve, so why have they opened the restaurent. No sauce with any dishes. Everything looks...very dry. They are showing face as if if you want, eat it kind of...More

We went there because TripAdvisor highly rated it. The place was very crowded. The outside area has a better atmosphere, than the inside restaurant. The food was excellent and significant portion. But the service was left behind, waiters were exhausted and frustrated, which really killed...the moment. Therefore we didn't return.More

I ate here twice as part of a group travel. First time was excellent as I ate a la carte. Fresh local dishes. The second time we had a steamboat type deal with chicken meat and I had a bad reaction to the food. (...if you have travelled India.. you know what I mean). Very popular with tourists.More

A classic in Leh, still deserving recommendation. Very good food, tasty and clean. Staff is very welcoming, and ready to serve. I just can’t get tired of it.

While the place is visited by many , as it looked crowded on the weekday evening we had been , I must say entire support staff of stewards and waiters need to get a crash course on dignified behaviour with customers . The Basic courtesy...of treating waiting customers with grace was absent - on top of it some waiters gave dirty looks making us feel as if we are coming in their way of serving . There is no seating place for waiting customers and one has to wait for long to get one's name entered in the waiting book - Only one person does it and he seems to come to the waiting area at his own whim as if he is dispensing a huge favour to the waiting customers !!! Seeing this we decided to move away and thought of coming back the next day through a reservation . Little did we know that a worse fate awaited us . The person on the phone was rude and high-handed when we asked him to confirm our reservation for 9 pm and hung up . Seriously , we were not impressed with the behaviour on both the occasions and decided to chuck the place and have 2 delightful dinners at a few paces away from The Tibetan Kitchen at a place called Lamayuru Restaurant . Must say the Lamayuru Restaurant enthralled us with it's great customer service , awesome spread of food and a very courteous approach from the owner.More

The second time of trying because its so busy, we ate dinner here. Food was fine, we tried momos, tibetan veg stuff bread and tibetan soups with chicken. Mango lassi was delicious. Sad there was no beer. They need a better seating/queuing system, but full...marks for marketing!More

If you only visit a place for its food, then this place should get higher stars. But, if you also include how a place is managed in your review, then the management should focus on this experience. We visited this place for lunch & were...seated outside. About 3-4 items were ordered & they were pretty pleasing to the palate. But a few mins into our experience, we noticed that there's a family of pigeons having an almost permanent residence, just above our table. And as bad luck served, there seemed like some domestic altercation at that very hour and almost everyone in the pigeon household got involved. With that, flew tons of dust, bird dropping, feathers and a lot of it, landed on our food. With appetite taking a backseat, we decided to call it a day & asked for our bill. I did mention to the server, who did witness the wildlife ferry, about what happened. Neither came an apology or any attempt/mention of say let me change your table/serving. Since I had to make an UPI payment, I was directed to the cashier inside. There too I mentioned about the pigeons - their response - please use this QR code to make the payment. Honestly, I didn't ask for a discount or my food/serving be changed but i still expected some level of courtesy from a place which almost tops the chart in the city.More

We ate Tibetan food, which was really tasty and served with steamed Tibetan bread. They also serve Indian and Chinese food. Although really busy, service was excellent and staff friendly....We went there 3 nights running and really enjoyed the experience.More
