A very fine ambience, menu and service. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced.
The food, unfortunately, is fairly average for a fine dining restaurant. The mutton was hard and dry and leathery with a very ordinary tasting sauce. Ravioli and filo pastry also ordinary. Cauliflower cream soup...and bread was good.More
When we entered the place...we were already Happy! and the food was just lip-smacking! We wanted to eat more and more but our stomach finally gave up :D
Just came back from a short Manali trip and La Plage is definitely one of the highlights...of our trip.

I visited this place in the bay of 2017. The food is good, the ambience is even better. The owners play the hospitality card to the perfection. But at the end of the day it seems they don't want Indian crowd at all.
I had...my 2 kids age 3 and 5 with me. While having food they wanted water and the staff rudely tells us that they don't serve water. I asked for bottled water and they again repeated that they don't serve water. They had wine which we could order. I questioned him how could I serve wine to my kids. All the waiter did was rudely say sorry and walked away not coming back to even ask if we needed something.
I am sure never going to visit this place or their branch in Goa ever and do not recommend any family travellers to do soMore
One would not associate pulsating nightlife with Manali — neither did we but we were proved wrong and quite happily so. On our first night there we ventured into the doors of @laplage for dinner and drinks, after a delectable and rather quite dinner the...scene very quickly changed to a rather exciting one, akin more to Goa than Manali. There were a throng of people to have a good time. We did too! Apart from the chic ambience — which included interesting art, apple trees (La Plage is nestled in the heart of an apple orchard, can you believe it) and vistas of the Himalayas and the river Beas; the cuisine and cocktails at the resto-bar was equally compelling. We wolfed down an inordinate amount of food while sipping on yummy Mojitos. This is a must visit when in Manali.More
This place is as good as their place in goa. It's location is a quiet sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the new and old manali. A taxi can pick you up and drop you off and the food is as superb as...la plage goa. It's definitely worth a visit if you'd like a change from the usual food on offer in manali, great menu, great ambiance in a beautiful setting.More
I never knew this place existed, till one of my friend referred me here,we went for dinner and drinks twice..firstly the place is made very well ,very huge spaces for manali standards, good quiet area, beautiful gardens and nice indoors,,the food was great..our hostess was Parveen ,a very...friendly and a warm person..great hospitality..did meet up with the owners as well..nice happy people..overall a very highly recommendable place,,reminded me of thalasa, goaMore
Very disappointed....nothing French about it. Went with great expectations after being in traffic for 3 hours. No red wine, the only Rosè that was offered was stale - 2014 make, many things not there from the menu...chef not present - they had a makeshift chef...when we went to the kitchen to meet, we were served stale , over fried French fries and fish and chips. Red Thai Curry was served with yellow pulao with cinnamon and black pepper. Standby chef smoking bidi in the kichen and there was a Dog in the kichen. Highly unprofessional behaviour of the owner Mr. Lali....who went out of control when we complained and threatened to call the cops. Not even dreaming of a revisit....More
Cute spot away from the cars and crowds in Old Manali. It is just 1 KM up the road from the clubhouse. You can walk, drive, or call La Plage to pick you up. We walked to La Plage from the bridge due to the...traffic congestion.
(I don't remember the actual dish names)
-Mango & Beetroot Carpaccio (5 stars!!)
-Goat cheese ball salad, the dressing was amazing
-Gnocchi with basil pesto
-We also got the tomato crumble with white sauce. It was a good unique dish, but heavy on the cheese.
- spaghetti for the kids
The restaurant decor and garden were adorable. They had board games and fun abstract art. The staff were also very accommodating and prompt.
Washroom is very clean and hygienic.
When our food came, the flies were all over our dishes. To better the experience, I would recommend the restaurant get insect killers or portable fans.More
