For those of us who reminisce on Goa in the yester years, Lopes' Beach Shack is just the place to visit; a definite 'go to' when in Goa. Shikkha and Nelson; the hosts at this venue are nothing short of friendly, proactive, humorous and a...delight to be looking after you as you enjoy their carefully thought out and delicious Goan menu, with a variety should you feel adventurous. The warm sand as you dig your toes into the beach, the soft sea breeze in your hair, with the all so familiar scent of salt in the air, as you watch the sun disappear into the sea, makes it all out to be your perfect evening filled with peace, calm and warmth, bringing back to you memories so cherished and loved. A place you will keep going back to; a place you cannot miss out on to complete your stay in Goa. Lopes' Beach Shack; satisfaction guaranteed.More

You must try the kingfish with masala source some French fries and a large “kingfisher” served ice-cold to go with the meal. I would also recommend Goan chilli sausage really lovely spicy dish. Meals drinks are all served by some truly wonderful friendly people in...particularly Emma. Perfect setting for a really relaxing holiday. People come back year after year which is a recommendation in itself.More

Good food and conversation. Staff is polite and very sociable. Nice place to relax on the beach. This area -Candolim is quieter and more family friendly than neighbouring Calangute, although Calangute beach is larger.

We have been holidaying in Goa for 10 years. This is the best shack we have found. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu choices are equivalent to a high street restaurant and you get all this with...the beautiful seafront vista.More

Since we were staying in Sonesta Inns we had a easy access to the beach. 1st day we arrived and decided to go to the beach when beautiful Hema offered us lounges. Ever since we only went to that shack! Nice and friendly people are...running the business and this make the place so special. Nelson & Sheeka are managing the place perfectly when the chef is delivering amazing food that you can eat only in 5* hotels. His fried rice is the best in all Candolim, believe me. Waiters Prakash & Suresh (?) are so nice and talkative and trying their best to satisfy customers. Hema is the beauty of the Shack. She is polite, nice, friendly and always smiling no matter what. We had our Christmas Eve dinner and New Year Eve dinner in the shack which was a great experience. Amazing food, amazing drinks and amazing people. What more... :) We are already missing our new friends...More

Lopes is located right off the path leading from the Sonesta Inns to the beach. The hotel is quiet and pleasant and Lopes is a bit more upbeat, which is a perfect addition if you want to listen to some music, have some drinks and...people watch. The staff is very nice and friendly. I had some Indian white wine, which was great and onion rings. Stayed for a couple of hours relaxing, enjoying the wonderful beach views and atmosphere. Also, Lopes has great wi-fi The other shacks to the left seem a bit too noisy and crowded, Lopes was just perfect!More
