We drove down to Alamogordo to visit the White Sands for a few days and ate twice at Carino's. The restaurant recently opened and we really like new places to try. Well we were definitely very satisfied both days with our choices. The food is very tasty, the portions are just right and enough choices to choose from the menu.... More

Most things close in Alamo early, so you have Carinos, Applebees and Chilis. The food here is good and a they have a fair selection of beers on tap and wine available too. Split the meal....the portions are large.

After reading mixed reviews, we were nervous about eating here. We were pleasantly surprised. This was good, diner food. Maybe we were lucky and picked good dishes. We had the chicken primavera and the bow tie chicken and enjoyed both, Service was fast, maybe too fast. Prices were very reasonable.

I was actually expecting better Italian for the price. My Jalapeno Tilapia was good, but the pasta was gummy and glued together. Bread was pre-fab, but the Calamari was really good. But none of it had much of an Italian flair.

We ate here because we were staying at the hotel next door and we were tired, it was easy. I wish we would have put more effort into finding a decent place for dinner. This was terrible from the service right down to the food. We have eaten at other Carino's restaurants before and they were great, but not this... More

Love Italian food. No better than Carino's "red"-lasagna anywhere - better than N.Y's Little Italy, S.F's North Beach, & Boston's Southside. Also at the absolute top is their Tiramisu, which is extraordinary. For value, you can't beat their "2-for-$20" specials ... 2 salads or soups, 2 entre's, & 2 desserts for $20. We feel that service is the main reason... More

We went there for lunch and the place was not busy at all. The choices are ok and the food is average. I had the Seafood pasta medley, too creamy in my opinion, and my spouse chose the Ahi tuna salad which had quite a lot of spinach. The service was ok though and overall this restaurant fares average in... More

Food taste was horrible. Just to see if it was a bad day for the cook, after my visit I asked coworkers and they told me they got sick after eating here. Just had a friend that went for Valentine's Day and said the food tasted like if it was from the microwave. Never going back!

They didn't have silverware at the table when I first arrived. Once I got my appetizer I still didn't get my silverware until 16 seconds later. Worst day ever.

We stopped here out last night in Alamogordo hoping for a celiac safe dinner. Well they do have a gluten free menu. However, everything went south from here. When the delivered the salads (very good wedge salad) the food runner mentioned everything on the GF menu is gluten free except the Alfredo sauce. Ok, why is it on the menu?... More
