If you are staying at the Borgata and are looking for fine dining, this place is a must. Be sure to get reservations since it filled up fast. Food was excellent (chopped salad and filet were wonderful--french fries not so much). Nice atmosphere, fairly quiet,...and nice staff. Som helped guide us to a great pinot noir that paired perfectly with our food. We liked the place so much much didn't want a large meal, so we returned the following night without reservations and sat at the bar, enjoying the chopped salad again (large enough to share), bread, wine, and delicious NY style cheesecake. Our bar waitress was as friendly as the gent we had the night before. Terrific experience. Skip the steakhouse at GN. Atmosphere and attitude doesn't compare to the Old Homestead.More
Delicious. Excellent service- Oscar was the best! Filets cooked to perfection. Sides perfect portion. Have been to several steak houses, this was one of the best.
the food was delicious - I had shrimp scampi w/the largest shrimp -there were 6 I could only eat 3. My husband had filet mignon that he said was perfectly done. We shared a crabcake and it was so good - filled with crab. Salad...was big enough for 3-4 people. We thought the staff were attentive and very friendly even though they were busy.. Charles was especially pleasant and efficient.More
This is my second time here and It's the second time that the food and service was outstanding. Lately every steakhouse that I have visited in Ac has been a disappointment but not this place. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were...great. Definitely a must go.More
Had a bone in rib eye, excellent, cooked to perfection. HUGE but good. Sat at the bar, had a great cosmo while waiting for dinner. The wedge salad was terrific as well.
Wonderful time food 10/10. Also sever TC was wonderful as well, very on point with service. Been here many times will deff come back as always !!! Shrimp add was my fav!
Filet mignon nice flavor but tough for FM, seemed more like a good sirloin. Lobster slightly burnt & not absolutely fresh. Lamb chops were good, not great, but good. Creme Brulee not bad but not worth the calories. The service just seemed to be just..."going thru the motions". Noice level loud, overall atmosphere blah.More
The food, the ambiance, and service was all amazing. Not only were we in already in a good mood but the experience made it even better.
We took our son here for his 21st birthday. It was a FABULOUS meal! We enjoyed our wagyu steaks. We also really enjoyed the “Meatball” as an appetizer. Service was TOP NOTCH! The server even surprised me by bringing out a dessert with a candle...for my son. Will definitely eat here again when at the Borgata.More
The food is very good and tastes ,but service is very bad .I think ,we will not come back again …………
Fantastic experience. Jeff and Chip were top notch! I asked for bottle of wine to be opened prior to arriving to let it breathe. We arrived with a decanter on table .. and a smile on Jeffs face. He made everything special and the food...was delicious. The Salmon was delicious and the steak was incredible. Shrimp cocktail were huge and fresh.More
We were so looking forward to a lovely evening at this A rated restaurant. As soon as we entered there were a bunch of convention people speaking so loudly in the very small bar area that it actually immediately gave me a headache. We waited...approx. 5 minutes until seated, and was brought up to the second floor, I thought this would be quieter. Oh! Was I wrong, besides still hearing the crowd downstairs, the group of six in the table next to us was also very loud. So far very disappointed, I couldn't hear my spouse speak. When the server told us the specials it was very hard to hear him. Now for the good news, my wine was great, spouses vodka gimlet was first class. Spouse ordered salad wedge great blue cheese, not enough bacon and lettuce piece was quite dense. I ordered the onion soup, good taste, didn't like the bread they used, it became so soggy. Spouse ordered prime rib, was so tender it melted in the mouth. Only thing I have to say is it was so large he couldn't eat it all and since we were staying in the hotel it was a real shame for the rest to go in the garage. I hate to see food wasted. I ordered th Chilean sea bass, it was absolutely out of this world!! I made the best choice!!! I would recommend this entree to everyone!!! All and all the food was great, but the over all enjoyment of our dinner was disappointing.More
Good service, very nice staff. Food is good. Side portions are big,, like the mashed potatoes and salad. Did not love the crème brûlée, I had better. The place is loud with everyone celebrating!
My family and I agreed to take in a show and dinner at the Borgata. We chose the Old Homestead Steakhouse based on previous reviews and reputation. We were wrong. The food was better than average but could not compare to the steakhouses in Vegas...nor any of Ruby’s steakhouses in Cincinnati (of which I have been to all of them). All members of the party agreed the food was good but not memorable. However, the one area we all agreed on was the service really sucked for this level of restaurant. No one approached the table for a second round of drinks or asked us if there was any interest in another round of bread, which there was. A salad was ordered and plopped on the table after the server was told that I was the one who ordered it and it just sat there until I served myself. The standard efforts of clearing the dishes seemed to be an afterthought. I can go on and on regarding expectations but the following sums it up…. I get better services at Texas Roadhouse than I did here. So in my humble opinion, save your hard earned money or lower your expectations when going to this establishment.More
