Four of us went to the Tides for dinner on a Friday evening in Asbury Park. The atmosphere is old Victorian with a contemporary feel. You enter from the front porch into the reception/bar area that has several very comfortable settee type conversation areas and a fireplace. In the main dining area, there are regular tables and then those with... More

Dined here with another couple. My wife enjoyed her crab cakes. The other 2 diners had beef short ribs and I had a fantastic pork chop. We shared the eggplant meatballs, excellent. I have met many servers in the restaurant business. Our server Carl, a professional, had to be one of the best. This rating is for the restaurant only.... More

We went to the restaurant at the Tides Hotel with another couple during the week off season. It was not crowded. It is a pleasant atmosphere with a lounge in the bar area and an attractive dining room. The menu appealed to all of us and for the most part we enjoyed our dinner. There were a few glitches: the... Went to celebrate family events. Outside looks like an old house with a huge porch, inside fully renovated, chic, warm and inviting. Extremely friendly staff willing to talk, advise and share. Drinks are AMAZING. Food was excellent. Portions are perfectly sized and prepared. We were 4 people and shared 4 appetizers. All were very good. The calamari is spicy so... More

My wife and I were very pleased with our dining experience at the Restaurant at the Hotel Tides. All of the food was delicious and I appreciated a wine list that was quite affordable. Our server was caring and helpful.

During a previous stay, a mixologist at the Asbury Hotel recommended this restaurant, and raved about the cuisine, service and atmosphere. How absolutely right he was. I dined with a few friends and had an incredible experience. NO negatives at all! Great attention to detail from top to bottom. Loved it, and will definitely go again.

The Tides Restaurant and Bar is one of the best kept secrets in town. The food and the atmosphere is top notch. The moment you walk up the steps of the sizable front porch, furnished with posh little tables and tea lights you know you're about to enter some place special. The hotel lobby has an equally classy atmosphere with... More

Located on a quiet residential street, this little gem is well hidden. Actually part of an old hotel building from Asbury Park's glory days (see what I did there Bruce?), the dining experience gets high marks. At the upper end of the price range, but the food is good and the service was very attentive. Small lobby bar in the... More

I'm not sure if this place is called The Tides Restaurant, The Tides or the Restaurant at the Hotel Tides but whatever it's called, I call it one of the best white table cloth restaurants on the Jersey Shore. At the risk of being obvious, the restaurant is located in the Hotel Tides in Asbury Park (no surprise there) and... More
