We have family in Medellin and went to “La Cafetiere de Anita” for the first time a few years back, we loved it so much that every time we are in town we try to go. Not only has a great ambiance and the service...is excellent, but the sophisticated french menu is absolutely exquisite. We have tried their steaks with different sauces (pepper, blue cheese, etc.) and this time I had the tuna fillet with a ginger sauce that was wonderful. The menu has a variety of steaks, sea food and several options for appetizers. Don’t miss their profiteroles for dessert, they are yummy. Yes La Cafetiere de Anita serves great food. Its ambiance could be excellent, but the restaurant was quite empty. Why we wondered? Was it the unusual location? Was it the uninterested staff? We do not know. But it deserves a more hospitable and kind service...where you feel welcome. Because the restaurant itself is great and has all it needs. except good staffing.More

We went there for lunch. While it is expensive for Medellin, the food and service we top notch. We were attended by Chef Anita herself. The "Entrecote Cafe de Paris", ont ooof the chef's recommended entrees, was absolutely wonderful, so were the desserts.

Very good Restaurant in this beautifull city in Colombia. Very french style. Consistent and excelent service. The wine list is kimd of short. But is always a pleasure to eat here

Anita came and made some suggestions, all of them were amazing options which we enjoyed immensely. This a great French restaurant in a delicate city of great people and service.

We held a breakfast meeting at this restaurant. I was impressed by the quality of food, the incredibly attentive service and their ability to accommodate the vegetarian in our group.

We had a large group on friday night (early Mother's day celebration). We were seated in the back of the restaurant, which gave our family group some privacy, and at the same time, allow us to "people watch" the main room. The service and food...were excellent. Of course, you pay for what you get. So, don't complain about the prices! Anita herself came to the table several times to make sure we were doing OK. Hoping to come back on my next trip to Medellin, and bring the family again!More
